  1. Thanks for answering my question Lynda! lol I have really wondered about that!!! I will feel like a new woman with more space down there haha.
  2. not a dumb question! I was wondering about some private areas.... I wonder how that changes!
  3. wow im sorry, that is a lot of frustration!! Are you only allowed to use Doctors in your area? My insurance has doctors all over the place... Infact my surgeon isn't even near my home. Is that not an option for you? Also that dream is crazy lol. I surely hope it doesn't happen like that!
  4. goodluck, i think you are on the right track. I would probably focus on the liquid diet (the shakes and small salad like you mentioned) and not the exercise, because exercise will make you build muscle, and muscle will show up on the scale! Last time I did a liquid diet i lost 11lbs the first week so hopefully you will have the same result! !
  5. I actually like it lol I feel like it is actually making me fall asleep, which is great because I usually resist sleep. Its pretty quiet with the exception of the gust of air, but that kinda sounds like the "sleep music" you can buy at the store. Anyhow i feel like a freakin energizer bunny now so I reallllllly love having it! It makes a world of difference! AND I CAN SLEEP ON MY BACK YAY! Sorry i have no spouse so I can't comment on that!
  6. I am happy for you and I hope I recover as well as you did!!
  7. I really enjoyed watching the surgery vids lol. I havent had my surgery yet, but im glad to know what they are gonna do, how they are going to do it, and how easy it looks to complete!! Looks like I can do that surgery myself lol. It gave me peace of mind actually. I watched about 5 or 6 different videos and still looking for more!!
  8. Ya my physician and NUT said its healthy for the surgery to drop some weight, but nobody could answer the 'will i disqualify' question lol. I definately don't think ill drop 70lbs lol. If i do then I will only have 30lbs left to get to goal and wont need the sleeve lmao! That would be funny. But no your right i guess it will all be ok and work out correctly! Yes they said the same, they just want to focus on my behavior and if it has changed!! The changes you made are good! Did you gain a lot? I think you will be approved. Gaining wait is the reason we need the procedure
  9. Yea they told me they go by your starting weight. I was just concerned that since i am losing weight, they will say I dont need surgery because i obviously CAN lose it. I keep asking but they dont really have a solid answer :/ Yea keeping it off is CERTAINLY the issue! lol. I have had some lbs come in with their friends also lol! They told me they go by starting weight, but i just dont want them to say "Oh, shes losing weight just fine without surgery, so DENIED!
  10. Has anyone been denied surgery (disapproval from insurance) simply because they were able to lose a good amount of weight during the 3/6/9 months that Insurance requires?? I am pretty nervous about that. Neither my surgeon or the insurance company have a required amount that I need to lose before surgery. However, I am supposed to be changing my eating habits (which of course is necessary) but............... I will cry for two months if the insurance denies and says "I lost weight so much weight during the 6months, so therefore I can do it all on my own". Any feedback is welcomed!
  11. My vitamin D is low too. I am just taking vitamin D Chewables, I hope thats enough. Thats all my Dr. told me to do. I honestly dont know how that happened... all i drink is milk and water! LOTS of milk!
  12. glad everything went well for you!! I am 5 months away from my pre-op LOL but I was nervous until I read this!! Thanks for sharing!! I hope you get better SOON with the antibiotics!
  13. Im right along with you, i need to lose 100. You will be fine. Do not change your mind, I am convinced that this is the ultimate tool and that after trying almost everything... if I don't do it, that will be the worse decision. The doctor knows what he/she is doing, and all you need to do is follow the rules and everything will be ok. Don't miss out on this blessing because of fear.
  14. This right here doesn't sound like you are REALLY sure of how you feel about him. Its probably a mixtture of feelings but either way... REAL LOVE DOESN'T HURT and it is supportive, caring and kind. This doesn't sound like him. Like someone else said, don't stay with him just to have someone. Somebody it out there that will appreciate you and love you for who you are, even if you gain 100lbs!!!
  15. Everyone's responses make me so excited! Its so hard to imagine that "there are things more exciting than eating" lol. I mean..... I can't wait to experience this! As for the tastebud reset-- that is AMAZING! I never thought of that and I look forward to it. Thanks for all your input!
  16. There are lots of really good success stories. I found that most of the "horor stories" are followed by the person saying that they broke on of the rules or didnt drink enough water or something like that. But.. dont let it discourage you
  17. Great topic and questions! I have the same plan as you. I am on my 6mo pre-op supervised diet and i decided to start strength training now, to start tightening my skin and be in good shape for after surgery as well (which isnt until Late January). Sorry i am not answering the question lol but I am interested in the Post-Op peoples' responses, because this is something I am curious about as well!
  18. wow COBRA covers it!? thats AWESOME! So happy for you (and sorry about the problems ) 20 more days!!!
  19. LOL your message was pretty clear for a drugged up woman! lol. So glad your procedure went well and I hope you continue to get better & stronger!! Yum @ popsicles!
  20. I am exactly the same as you, I totally relate! I am 4'11 (currently 255) and it was nice to hear my doctor say that I will be a nice size at 150. Most doctors tell me 114 and that sounds SOOO scary to me!! Anyhow I have no idea what either of these weights will look like on me lol so One day at a time like you!
  21. Congrats and good luck!!! BTW I am from St. Lucie County (I supposed you know where that is, near Miami lol)
  22. i have no date yet, its looking like January (as I started the 6 mo supervised diet THIS month lol), so I am very early but I am trying to learn as much as I can! Thanks for your perspective, I hope my surgery/recovery goes just as easy as yours! As of now I am not scared, but i do think ill be crying for a few days right before surgery lol. Im a cry baby haha plus i never had surgery before! I hope you start having an easier time getting those liquids down I heard some people say that Water was the hardest to get down, but when they put 1/2 water 1/2 juice it was easier, or warm stuff like tea was easier, and you still get your water in. Dunno if that will help you
  23. I understand. People keep telling me that with my new CPAP machine, the 6 month supervised diet and exercise, i might not need the surgery. But i feel the same... well the last 20 years have been unsuccessful, im not gonna rely on this diet this time, and i am moving forward with the surgery as well. What is your surgery date? do you have one yet? Also.... how did you put up your before/after pic? I cant figure it out!!! lol
