  2. I have PCOS and it was the reason for my weight gain, I tried everything including eating air and I still couldn't lose weight, I am coming In to my ninth month post surgery and I am 4 kilos to goal weight yay, I still don't get my period though only had it once since surgery, but planning on baby number two hopefully it doesn't take 7 years to fall this time with the added help of the weight loss. 3. Hi and welcome all newbies, this site has been a god sent for me and I hope you find it just as helpful
  4. It's so close I can smell it and for ones it's doesn't smell like yummy food I want to pig out on lol, I am feeling so much better and loving the fact I can go in to a "normal" size shop, although my husband is mourning the loss of my boobs lol
  5. Thanks it really sunk in when I came across old photos I say looking at them and though wow that used to be me, then I forget about it for a while till I see someone who has not been me since before surgery and then it hits me again, maintenance is going to be a whole new challenge, did you adjust well to that side of things? Lilly

    Help! I'm hungry!

They tell you not to eat crackers for your own safety, stick to your dietitians plan, you can cause serious damage so early on, having liquid is a small price to pay when you potentially can cause damage to your new pouch, don't risk it.
  12. Hi there, I am coming up to 7 months out and have lost most of my thickness and length, it's like fairy floss and still snapping, my surgeon said to take silica and I spend a fortune on hair products and Vitamins but my surgeon said if its going to happen its going to happen but it will grow back. In my pic I have a hair piece in and it does the trick. Lilly
  13. I was sleeved July 27th 2012 and I can honestly say that now I eat to live and not live to eat, life to me just feels "normal" now I can still enjoy the foods I love just in smaller portions, I have lost 83.7 pounds (37 kilos) and I am 6 kilos to the "healthy weight range" I was mentally ready for the life change and worked with the tool of the sleeve to change my life around, I can't tell you enough that NOTHING taste as good as how I feel both inside and outside so having to give up the little comforts like drinking with a meal or alcohol was a no brainier for me, I do not regret my decision one bit, in return for giving up those crutches I have my life back and it's a very happy healthy one. 17. Hi all I have been off the site for a while and had a lot to catch up on, seems every one is doing so well, I am just over 6 months out now and only 8 kilos to my "healthy weight range" although I aim for an extra 4 kilos below it, had my 6 month check up this week and my surgeon is really happy with my results, I have lost 36.1 kilos and feel amazing, life changes were surprisingly easy and happy to say my new life just seems normal. Lilly
  18. Hi Lila, When I enquired about super release after survey I was told they could only release if I could prove I took out a loan or if it was paid by credit, or had outstanding receipts but because I paid cash they could not release any funds, hope that helps. Lilly
  19. I have had that exact pain, I suffered with it for quite a while after surgery, mine came and went through out the day and it was so painful, I went to my surgeon with it a few times and finally had a MRI to rule out a leak ( he was confident it was not one) but it was my internal stitches causing spasms it did go away after resting, my surgeon said sometimes the stitches are a bit tight.
  20. lol I have a small frame my aim as I'm Aussie is 65 kilos I think that's 143 pounds :-/
