  2. How do you know you are hungry? Is it stomach-growling? Emptiness in your stomach? Thoughts of food? Describe what hunger means to you.
  3. Had my first fill and am still eating. Not crazy amounts but enough to make me feel like I'm a failure. I realized I'm being too hard on myself and only focusing on the negative. Successes? I am hungry less, make better choices and eat much less. What's wrong with that? NOTHING!!! Feel free to share any insight.

  10. I was banded 8/3/12 and have lost 25 lbs. Amazing!! I go in for my first fill on Tuesday 9/4. Hoping to lose another 25!!!! My eating/ interest in food has gone wayyyyyy down but I am still having moments where I have cravings or eat something bad. I am also hoping my first banding will help more with that. People have been commenting on how great I look and it is SO nice to hear. I still have a LONG way to go, but I definitely think I am on the right track and just have to keep making small goals and daily successes. I call my band my Willpower. GOODLUCK TO ALL, we can do it!!!!
  11. It is day 4 post-surgery and I think I am doing great. Day 2/3 were hard with pain, mostly intestinal gas/bloating/discomfort. Today I am sitting in a bar chair typing this so things are good! No pain meds! Now I just need to buy a scale so I can track how much I lose. Also god bless the Vietnamese and their Pho soup. The broth kicks ass, unlike all the other chicken/beef box/can stuff. GROSS.
  12. Howdy Everyone! Just joined the group today, doing all my pre-surgery stuff to make sure I know what I am doing. This is one on the list! So excited, happy and READY. I've had surgery before so I am not nervous about that, but VERY focused on post-surgery life. I am diabetic with hypertension, high cholesterol with an A1c of 8.8. Not good, hence the surgery. My goal is to be off all meds and that my diabetes goes dormant. Good luck to all!
