Yes. We aren't just talking we are working our butts off. We've each learned a lot about ourselves and each other. We will start counseling next week. It wasn't an easy tough week but I think the affair is over for good.

For anyone who cares. Things have really changed. After much prayer my husband and I worked it out. Things are even better now that we've put all the cards on the table. I'm not glad that it happened but at least our bond is much stronger. Best of luck as you all work out your life changes.
  3. How long does your thermos keep the soup hot?

Tamara I'm so sorry. Lets commit that no matter what happens we will make our healthy top priority. Krazy I don't think he's 100 percent behind trying right now. I've started praying daily about this bit in the end it may come down to being single but I hope not.

My husband is having an affair. He had surgery a year ago. After he lost weight he met up with someone. Is there anything I can do? We have two children and I want to save our marriage. By the way, I had surgery 2 months ago and am working to get myself together.
  6. How many weeks are you? When I went to sift foods I started with just 2-3 bites chewed 30 times each.
  7. Before surgery I would eat 3-4 100 calorie bags. Glad those days are behind me. I'd like to get them off of simple carbs but this maybe too hard for them.
  8. Hang in there. I know it's hard. Just remember that you want your liver to shrink before surgery.
  9. Today I just gave into the notion that I need to let the simple carbohydrates go. Too many calories for my limited appetite. I need to do all I can to get in my protein and water.
  10. I thought I didn't need to track but I've stalled so I decided to run a check. Wow. I see why I'm stalled. I'm only getting about 15 grams of Protein and limited Water. Seeing that changed the way I see few. I'm only 6 weeks out so I'm adjusting to not getting my protein from shakes. I upped my food and liquid intake considerably.
  11. Thanks for the suggestions.
  12. I never really heard back from anyone when I proposed a date. We just need to confirm a date and a location.
  13. I want to minimize the junk food in our house and help my kids make healthier choices, but I am at a loss for what to keep in the house for the kids. I generally pack them a sandwhich, juice, fruit and chips for lunch. After school they have a bag of chips. So I did buy Cheez-Its and Goldfish instead of chips, but I am not sure if that's any healthier. Plus, I am doing my very best to now go and grab a handful of crackers. Anyone else having luck with their kids. Keep in mind, one of mine is a teenager so it's not an easy transition.
  14. I live in Dallas. I was sleaved Oct. 23 at Forest Park.
  15. I was wondering the same thing. I don't generally track my food, but once I did do it for two days straight so I could see if I was getting in the nutrients I needed. My calories were about the same as yours, plus I had exercise. I know that I did go through a stall at week 3 and I'm in another one at week 6. The first stall went away when I moved to soft foods. I did notice that I was able to break the stall when I got more Protein (at least 60 grams) and enough liquids. We are supposed to have 64 oz. I haven't gotten that much yet, but I am trying to get close to 48 oz. I just finished reading an article about the importance of staying away from simple carbs. Are you getting enough carbs and protein? Be sure you eat the protein first and stick with veggies and complex carbs.
  16. I am in a stall too. It's been about a week. The first time I hit a stall I almost died, but now I know that's it's temporary. I go on Bariatric regular foods tomorrow. I cannot wait. I'm going to ask the nutritionist if I can have the edamame now. I'm taking your advice and drinking some of my Premier Protein, but my mind still wants one of my daughter's Cheez-Its.
  17. Just want to chow down on a handful of crackers. I'm not hungry but can feel those emotional eating habits weighing on me.
