  1. I can feel the gas moving in my stomach but it won't go away. Tried walking and GasEx. Any other suggestions to help pass the gas?
  2. I feel 100 percent better this morning! All that pain is finally going down.
  3. Thanks. That's helpful. I've been drinking skim milk which helps some.
  4. Just wondering because the dr said milk based was ok but then the hospital said no. Tried a Protein shot and hated it. I absolutely can not eat anything I hate. My stomach throws it up so it has to be bearable.
  5. I was sleeved Oct 23 so I'm still on clear liquids. I can't believe how hungry I am. Can't wait to get something my filling.
  6. Tlong you are not alone. Remember that losing weight is only one of the goals. The most important is to be healthy which you can't do if you are too fat or too thin. Give yourself permission to eat a healthy and balanced diet. You won't go back to your old habits.
  7. Thanks for all the comments. I was sleeved Oct. 23. I have a lot of gas and stomach pain. I also fight to drink and not sleep all day especially since I can't sleep at night. Hope I made the right decision.
  8. This is my first night home and I can't sleep. My stomach feels terrible. Not sure if it's gas or pain. Been taking cat naps so I'll try to be better with fluids. How long are you walking at home?
  9. How's everyone doing? I was sleeved Oct 23 and going home tonight. Any advice?
  10. Are we allowed to take probiotics right now? Are intake is so limited.
  11. I started the pre op diet Wednesday - 2 meal replacements and 1 healthy frozen dinner. This morning, my stomach is a mess. Anyone else having problems?
  12. Thanks everyone. I have pre-op class tomorrow and my surgery is one week out. I decided to substitute some of my meals with a meal replacement and to have a frozen dinner at lunch. Should have all the details tomorrow.
  13. I don't go to my preop class until Wed. What kind of diet can I expect?
  14. Dr. Davidson is doing my surgery on Oct 23. Would love to hear how you are progressing.
  15. FYI, my husband has cake and chips, etc. just not everyday and not 5-6 servings in one sitting.
  16. I'm scheduled for Oct 23. I'm so nervous. Pamela
  17. Pookeyism my husband met with his gastric dr, general physician and endocrinologist. His blood sugar was going too low staying on the meds. Even once he got off, all three monitored him for months. As said everyone is different but that was his experience. On a side note, he did exercise regularly and I believe that has a lot to do with his continues success. I'm scheduled to have surgery this month, but I'm still nervous, but it's nice to have someone to talk too. Best of luck.
  18. Are you type 1 or 2. My husband was type 2. He had the sleeve last Dec and was off all insulin within a week of his surgery. He hasn't needed any diabetes meds since and he swears the sleeve was the best choice for him. Hope that helps.
  19. Thanks for the supportive words.
  20. Is anyone else getting scared and thinking of canceling the surgery? I'm schedule for Aug 10 and so afraid of making the wrong decision. The what ifs are killing me.
  21. I was told it was OK, but that you may not want to go WAY below.
  22. I got approved with BCBS Federal. They did go back and look at my BMI for the last two years, but they did not look at every single appointment. The doctor submitted the highest weight from each year. Hope that helps.
