  1. I got that book about a year ago and forgot I had it. Cracking it back open today. THANK YOU.
  2. I have acid reflux. I'm not aware of a link between reflux and a feeling of hunger.
  3. Thank you. I do realize that some weight gain is normal but my eating habits prove that I'm not where I need to be. Thanks for the encouragement. I do need to get back the basics again. At the gym now!!!
  4. I really need help. I'm almost two years out. I'm not eating or exercising like I should and alcohol has also added weight. I "know" what I need to do but I need help doing it. Started exercising again on Monday. PS... Lots of change in my life and just now getting on track -- divorce, going from being a stay at home mom to a FT employee, etc.
  5. Those medicines never worked for me. I use Dexilant which requires a prescription. You can go on the manufacturer website for a coupon.
  6. Wylie/Sachse/Murphy I would love a support group in the Wylie/Sachse/Murphy area.
  7. Ok. Back off track for the past two weekends. Just finalized my divorce so trying to give myself a break. Monday I'm blazing ahead but allowing myself this last weekend to mourn.
  8. Ian in the same boat. I have gained back 12-14 pounds since Feb 2013. Sweets is killing me. Plus late night Snacks. I still fill up quick but within a few hours I want something. I need help. What is 5;2 (not sure I typed this right)? I've managed to get traction on my weight loss. My biggest problem before was "what" I was snacking on. I still eat about every two to three hours but now I eat high Protein snacks. I also make sure to drink Water before I eat even if I am hungry. I also try to drink a Protein Drink if I haven't eaten enough protein. Hope that helps.
  9. Feeling good. Allowed myself one fun meal on Friday night. Have lost 3 lbs since recommitting. Feels good to be in control of food instead of the food controlling me. Hang in there everyone.
  10. Watching a suspenseful movie where people were hiding and I was thinking my stomach would betray everyone. Lol.
  11. As you said it's funny to be bother over 10 lbs after losing 100 but we know where it can lead. I decide to have a splurge this weekend. Even though eating out cost more I'm enjoying my splurge at a restaurant. That why the junk isn't at my house. I did good all week and will keep it up this weekend.
  12. Hope you are doing well. Get through this week and you'll be good to go!!! Pamela
  13. This is the only draw back of the surgery. I'm in a training now and I feel like my stomach is as loud as the presenter.
  14. I'm excited. Regarding +1s -- I like the idea of the meeting being closed and just for people who have had the surgery and then having special days for friends/families etc where group members know in advance.
  15. That should go away. I don't have a problem eating soup (liquid and contents together). I find that I have to set the timer on my phone to show when it's ok to eat or drink again.
  16. Was feeling a little down cause I've gained 12-15 lbs back of the 104.5 that I lost. I have really been working hard to get it off but floating around the same weight. Decided to take body measurements which I was scared to do! Wow. It's pretty good. 38-30-38. Baby! Not far from ideal. I can do this! So now I'm on the treadmill. I am good to go motivationally.
  17. Please share the recipe. Are they exceptional or just a good substitute to take the edge off?
  18. Can you do artificial sweetener?
  19. Yes, that's one of my keys to success. I don't bring in what I can't control. I have a few food items that just scream my name if they are here. If I really want them I eat them while out. Or, I have it at hone when giving a party and send the leftovers home with someone. It's hard with kids. I'm trying to let them bring a few items that don't tempt me but also working to help them enjoy the healthy options. Stared at the Cheeze it's forever but finally walked away. Wanted Melba toast but not one worker at Walmart knew what that was.
  20. I am sorry Lilu. Please don't beat yourself up. It will only make your journey that much harder. The bible teaches us to be content in whatever state we are in. That doesn't mean that we are happy or satisfied with our current situation, but rather to find joy and peace in every situation. Focus on all the things that are beautiful about you and your life. Then start working on the things you want to change -- one task at a time. We've all been where you are. You can do this. We believe in you.
  21. I didn't do very well this weekend but I'm not bringing anymore junk in the house.
  22. Logged back on the MyFitnessPal which I haven't done in awhile. Now I already see the problem. It's 2 pm and I've already eaten 1000 calories in two meals. Aargh!

I may have to try it. They are much cheaper than the Bariatric chews.
  24. My size 6 clothes have gotten super tight. I refuse to go back up. You know people are watching us. Remember the people who loved to tell you about someone they knew who didn't lose weight after the surgery? Plus I feel horrible when I don't eat right. At first I didn't gain any weight but I wasn't as tone. People would always comment on how tiny my waist was but it's not like that after gaining 12 pounds so it's time to get serious.
  25. I don't use fitbit but everyone seems to like it. I may need to do 5:2. Need to find the website again. Might try substituting one meal with a protein drink.
