  2. I'm sorry you had challenges..but I'm soo happy that you are now sleeved!!! Welcome to the club!!
  3. Congrats!!! I'm soo glad you're doing well!!
  4. Shucks I can get 8 oz of broth down in 20 ish minutes now...maybe my sleeve isn't tight enough...hmmm
  5. That's not happening for a long time. Most NUTs don't suggest veggies until 4 months out, and carbohydrates like bread, for most of us, are off the menu for life. At least for me that are with the potential exception, which I can't even think about right now. I am 9 days out...I'm on liquids just like you. Hang in there! We did this to change our lives. It's a tool, which we have to use well. If we go back to eating like we did in the past, we are abusing our tool, and limiting our weight loss. I don't want to preach, just to share some perspective. The most successful sleevers not only have reduced the amounts that they eat but also WHAT they each.
  6. I was sleeved 8/20. Today I got 80 grams of protein via 3 shakes with skim milk. I Am still working on fluids and should get about 30 oz of water in today. I also strained about 10 oz of egg drop soup for a filler. This is my best day yet.
  7. They removed mine prior to leaving the hospital. I clean the wound and redress it daily.
  8. It sure does as I prep for my dinner shake! Lol! My Friday doctors appt isn't close enough lol! I think I miss chewing!!
  9. Sleeved on 8/20 here..still not on tummy....but can sleep on my side now.
  10. 8/20 was my Independence Day!! Things went fab and I'm on the mend!
  11. I was sleeved a week ago today at Cleveland Clinic....GREAT experience!!!!
  12. Same for me. I had no pain after Day 2, and the bulk of that pain was from the general and the pain meds (nausea). I was amazed that I needed no pain meds once getting home! I am not the norm, but I am grateful!!
  13. Well, Beloved, I learned a lesson today, one that I've read of on here before. Today I just wasn't very hungry. I didn't have Breakfast. I drank 25% of an Isopure and had some chicken broth mid afternoon. I only drank 30ish oz of fluids. I had surgery Monday, August 20, 2012. Guess what, I got light headed and dizzy tonight. Thank goodness for chick broth and powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Chicken Soup Protein powder! Lesson learned and a word to all my follow new sleevers: eat even if you don't feel hungry!
  14. I hear walking and gas x strips work well. I had no gas pain, thankfully.
  15. Congrats!! I'm glad you made it safe and sound.
  16. Congrats! I am looking forward to those type of victories myself!
  17. Waking up sucked!!! I'm just focused on getting liquids and protein in. That is a full time job right now.
  18. Day 1 sucked! But I expected it!! After that I got out of bed and got moving! I have been very blessed. I made a mental decision to not take pain meds after the IV's came out. I have been just fine without them. Repeat: Day 1 sucked, but since then, all has been fine.
  19. I feel ya! Day 5 post op here! Working on the fluid/protein piece but feel great! No pain meds since I came home. Knock on wood, it's been textbook. I am soo grateful!
  20. You can do it! I had surgery Monday! And I feel great!! You can do it!!!
  21. Yup just achy! I didn't have any of the pain in arms and shoulder that I was told about the gas. Yup, all is good. Just a little sore, nothing I can't handle.
  22. Home and resting. A little achy because I am "au natural", no pain meds. Just happy to sleep in my own bed! Surgery was textbook and recovery has been as well so far.
  23. Aug 20 came and went and so did my tummy! Home resting now! No pain meds! Thanks for the warm wishes, Beloved. Those if you in the process: this is doable!!! Believe in yourself, love yourself, and make decisions that are good for you.
