  1. I had the same thing. It was my blood pressure. My PCP took me off of 1 of my 2 daily pills at 3.5 weeks post-op.
  2. I had the same exact thing. It was my blood pressure. I was on 2 medications prior to surgery, but my doctor took me off of one at 3.5 weeks post op. I monitor it several times daily.
  3. I have to agree on the unjury chicken soup...it's not my fave...the unflavored isn't bad.
  4. When did you start chicken? I'm at 4 weeks and chicken still isn't fun....
  5. You've got this! Don't be nervous! Your new sleeve awaits!
  6. Work it out girl! I am 3 weeks post op myself. with the 2 week pre surgery I'm down 52 pounds in 5 weeks. I am praying that week 4 will heal my stomach more. It has been "finicky" to say the VERY least...but I knew that this came with it. I go back to work tomorrow and spent this evening trying to find clothes to fit...since I kept it all..I had to go back 3 years in the walkin to find some that fit, which is a very good feeling. I pray the swelling goes down...I am tired of eating the same things over and over! You are inspiring me!!
  7. I go back to work Monday 9/9 and had surgery on 8/20..... I guess I have to.....
  8. I wanna know that too!!!
  9. It works for me. I got the idea off of this forum! I was having heartburn and didn't know what to do! That search feature was a lifesaver! For real!!
  10. I'm not like that...but their have been moments when I wanted to...and when I did...ooops!!!
  11. Yes you will..but trust me..it's worth it..I am 43 pounds down in 4 weeks, including my 2 week pre-op diet. I wouldn't trade this....even with the annoyances... I also added Prilosec to my daily regimen this weekend....that heartburn came as soon as I started mushies! I'm calling the doc for something stronger tomorrow!
  12. Yeah...same here....meat is not fun for me right now...I am sticking with shrimp. Beef, chicken, turkey all not happy in my sleeve yet... just figure it out...and you'll have to do it as a "trial and error" experiment unfortunately. I am soo with you....I'm having my only little personal food struggle right now.. and I'm not even hungry!
  13. With the insurance requirement of a 6 month pre-op diet it took me 8 months.
  14. I am 4 days into pureed foods and am learning to slow down the hard way. Being a big guy, I an SOOO accustomed to "inhaling" mass quantities of food. Ohhhh no more!! I was in pain quite a bit this weekend all because I was eating too fast. I am learning which foods do and do not agree with me and today it took me 30-40 minutes to eat 2 ounces of food this afternoon. I mist admit, it was my most satisfying meal yet. It was baby shrimp. I am gonna eat them for a few more days as I figure out this new "eating deal". My sleeve is schooling my big ass, trust me!!
  15. At least I'm not alone!! I guess I'm normal, too! Thank you for making me feel normal folks!!
  16. Oh I figured out full!!! 2-3 Ounces and I can feel my sleeve saying"No"!! It screamed at me yesterday! LOL What's really odd is the ability to put it down and walk away.
  17. Can't lie. 6 weeks would make me a very frustrated person. This is the most extreme post-op diet I've seen.
  18. I am trying.....I think I'm taking too much in my mouth at once....my mind is in a BIG transition right now....I find myself wanting to go BACK to shakes...now that's some crazy ****
  19. Freaking way cool! I wanna be like you!!!
