  1. Have you checked in with your bariatric surgeon or maybe talk with a nutritionist? When you say 2.5 is that cc's in your band? If it is what size band do you have?
  2. Congratulations! That's wonderful!
  3. I have that book also. What have you made out of it? I haven't made anything yet. The scallops on the front look yummy.
  4. YES, by all means stick to what your Dr has set for you. That's what everyone should do. You'll do very well by following the Drs advice.
  5. Angela, Welcome to the forum! Your three months will go by really quick. Hope to see you around here a lot. Like I told OP, you learn a lot her that Drs. forget to tell you. Best Wishes on your journey to great health!

  7. Oh yea, My bariatric center has done over 1000 LB, Sleeves & Gastric bypass and hasn't lost one yet.
  8. The only one I know of (not personally) is a woman that went to Mexico and something went horribly wrong. That being said, Just this week a 16yo boy in town died while having a tonsillectomy. I tell you this b/c there is a risk in any surgery you have. My Dr told me I had a bigger risk of dying from obesity related causes than having LB. surgery.

I just got the Fitbit one.To 2012, I wear mine all day and night. I always have trouble sleeping and the first time I wore it to bed it said I woke up 22 times in 6hrs. It measures how many steps you take, stairs you climb, calories burned. It sync's with computer and cell phone and once a week it sends a update to your email on how well you did. I also bought one for my daughter who is thin and always working out.LOL Congrats Smiles! You can keep the snow!
  11. My sister had gastric bypass and she said it freaked her out. Enjoy the attention after all the hard work you have done you deserve it.
  12. Boy, you are so close to goal. WTG!!!!
  13. Don't be nervous. For one thing they want you to understand completely what you're getting yourself into. If you need further council b/c of some deep seeded problem that needs to be resolved before banding. They also give you like a 300 questionare that you answer from 1 to 5, 1 being not at all up to 5 most definitely. They throw trick questions in to make sure your paying attention. Like, I love shooting with bows and arrows lol Just be yourself and honest, you'll do fine.
  14. WOW!!! You look amazing, Congratulations!
  15. 1. I can cross my legs, haven't done that in at least 3yrs. 2. My motorcycle does not burn the crap out of my inner thighs. Cubby thighs to close to the heat. It's all worth being in "Bandster Hell"
  16. I add cinnamon and Splenda Brown Sugar.
  17. I just use the 1cup rule and am done no matter what, but I'm one of the lucky one's that have a nerve by band that shoots excruciating pain into neck & shoulder that tells me to stop. But sometimes it could be a sigh, cough or sneeze. Have you noticed anything like that?
  18. Congratulations & continued success!You look marvelous
  19. Skinnytaste.com is another good site.
  20. I log everything on my phone app MyFitnessPal. I have since 6mths before surgery. They have a neat scanner to scan food packaging for all necessary info. It's how I keep track of getting my 60gr of Protein and staying at my allotted calories. If you start having trouble that will be the first question asked, are you tracking? Good luck!
  21. Thoughts and prayers for a safe trip and speedy recovery. Check in with us when you can. ((((((Annie)))))
  22. I was just thinking of this yesterday, it had just dawned on me that I was no longer wearing elastic waist band clothes. You'll be there soon my friend!
