Final 6Th Visit Completed Today...but
I always hate when they tell you they will only call you back if it's negative. I wish that they'd call you back either way. Maybe I'm just goofy, but I get all anxious about it. Anyway, I'm happy to hear that you're done with this step! My fingers are crossed that it will come back negative. Let us know when you hear (or don't)!

Do You Ever Wake Up......
Yes I did second guess myself before the surgery. It's difficult making a life changing decision like this. It's scary. A few ***hts before surgery I almost had a panic attack like WHAT IF I CAN NEVER EAT THIS OR THAT AGAIN? And it sounds really silly now, but I was really freaking. Not to mention that any time you go into surgery, it's a risk. Now that I have had the surgery I can 100% say I do not regret it. I am doing great and I only wish I had done it sooner. I have finally taken control of my life in a way that I never was able to before. I had tried diet after diet and always gained it all back, ending up frustrated and angry at myself. Surgery isn't for everyone, that's true. It's something to think long and hard about, but when you're ready, you're ready =)

Made It Through
Yayyy! I'm glad to hear that there were no complications. The first few days are definitely quite painful. Believe me, it gets better soon! Get up and walk walk walk, those gas pains are killer and being active really helps cut some of it down.

I Want To Cry... :(
I think some of this is your responsibility, although your bariatric clinic should have looked into it too. The first thing I did was call my insurance and get the list of requirements. Insurance companies always want a laundry list of stuff done. I am sorry though that you have to wait. I'm sure it's frustrating. I'm happy to hear that you're not giving up. Have you been getting weighed at your doctor/the bariatric clinic over the past couple months at all? See if you can use any of those weights, maybe you can cut down some of the time!

Itchy Skin?
I was told under no circumstance to take the steri-strips off until they fell off naturally on their own. Strange to have such opposite instructions. I am itchy too! I know it's just because it's healing (Ever had a big cut before - they itch as they're getting better) but it drives me nuts too!

One Week Post Op And I Don't Want To Eat!
I feel your pain. I'm almost a week post-op and I don't really feel like eating either. For the time being we just need to make it a priority to get in our Protein. I, for one, am making it my priority because it decreases your risk of losing hair - I don't think I'd look good in a wig =p I schedule my meals so even though I don't feel like eating, I get it in. Some stuff still tastes good, so I try and make that my lunch to kind of give me a pick me up through the day (Homemade chicken broth...yum!). I also have the bad habit of watching tv shows while I eat. In this instance it has been good because if I'm eating something that's meh (Protein shakes...yogurt) it keeps me distracted and makes it easier to eat the amount that I should. Hang in there, it's getting better for me day by day and I'm sure it will look up soon for you too.

Surgery Thursday
It's always scary right before surgery. You do have time to turn back if you decide that's what you want, but I have a feeling that's just the nerves talking. Once you get the surgery you will be very happy =) It's painful, but worth it in the long run. Write down all the reasons you want this. Then when you're having second thoughts you can really look through and calm your nerves. Thursday will be here before you know it! And good job on your pre-op diet - losing some weight really helps decrease your surgical risk.

Things To Eat Through The Day
Does your doctor want you to stick with three meals? I know my clinic prefers that we get in six small meals daily and they'd like us to continue that through maintenance if possible. Small Protein....Have you tried the babybel cheeses? I am a fan of those. How about protein shots? String cheese? Edamame?

So Shaving Your Legs And Being Obese
Aughhhh, I hate shaving my legs lol. Yes I think it is monumentally harder to shave while heavy. And now that I've had this surgery it hurts to bend over to shave so I'm wearing pants for the next few days until I've recovered enough to comfortably shave.
