An EGD is endoscope is a long, flexible tube about the size of your little finger. During the procedure, you are sedated and the EGD scope is passed through the mouth and back of the throat into the upper digestive tract, allowing the physician to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (the first portion of the small intestine). My doctor, Dr. Kim told me I had to get this done before surgery.

how was it? I need to do mine as well before surgery.

I'm glad to hear that it went alright. It's a scary process. Rest up and recover!

It was better than i thought. I wake up sleepy as heck. When i got hone slept for 6 hours straight.

Glad it went well. I am having it done tomorrow morning. Looking forward to the 6 hrs of rest...lol
