I am so scared to take the smoking test before surgery where they test for the carbon monoxide test!! I don't know how long you have to be smoke free before you can pass, but I am nervous!!
I keep reading about people who are on a two week liquid diet. I don't have to do one of those. I wonder why hospitals are all different. Has anyone had to have a test for carbon monoxide from smoking?
Well, I remember when I went to my educational day seminar the nutritionalist said that she didn't want to see us using low fat or fat free dressing and she wanted us to us real butter on our veggies. Something about your body still requires some kinds of fats and those are two of the things they are in. Has anyone else heard this?
O I had a dr appointment yesterday, don't have a surgery date but I know it is getting close. She told me to start drinking 2 protein shakes a day and watch my carbs. It's feeling more real everyday!! Excited, nervous, BUT TIRED OF BEING FAT!!!!
Hi Tracylynn,
Yes!!!!!!!! I have thought about doing that as well!!!! I have watched tons of YouTube videos. My favorite are phillytomcat and thebypassman!!! I think I would feel like a real dork but then again I am sure the people that put their videos up felt like a dork too but we didn't think so. Lol
I'm just waiting to hear back from insurance so I can get mine scheduled!!
Lots of luck!!
I currently have all of my appointments finished, now waiting on insurance. I went to Dr yesterday and they told me to start my protein diet. Ugh, this is harder already than I thought. I have read through all the papers and I'm not sure what I am supposed to do. I don't know if I am only supposed to have a protein shake at breakfast and lunch and then eat high protein food for supper? What about snacking?????? aAAUUUGGGHHH
