Ready For A Change Vs A Lighter Me
Look at it this way, if you are going with Dr. Garcia who will have an amazing doctor. The company that looks after you will make a difference. A lighter me is organized has great reps, visit you ALOT in your room, I saw them there everyday. I did not see my co-ordinator, if she called me I was not always in my room she did not come and see me until the last day and I had an issue with my medication and she did not come to the hotel to rectify she left me on my own to deal with it. Make a call to a lighter me I don't think you will be disappointed. One other thing to say, they were not at the airport to pick me up like they said they would, I had to call long distance to them and when the guy arrived, Samuel's brother, he was in an old beat up jalopy with no air conditioning!! I was appalled!!

Ready For A Change Vs A Lighter Me
Hey ready to be skinny. Just had my surgery on Monday and I am going to post the entire story in detail. I just want to let you know, that unlike myweightlossjourney, things for me were not 100%. A lighter me is amazing and way more professional and patient oriented than ready 4a change. In my opinion go with a lighter me. One of their co-ordinators even stopped and spoke with me and was willing to help me if I needed and gave me HIS phone number, he also called one of my con-ordinators for me. With ready4achange you couldn't make a phone call from your room you had to go to reception, they would call for you then you could talk to then, absolutely ridiculous!! Anyway stay tuned for my post. Dr Garcia is absolutely fantastic he is a master at his craft, that you will not be disappointed in.

Pre-Op Diet A Fail
You might not realize but this is a serious surgery, 85% of your stomach is removed!! I answered another post you may like to read it. If you can't do TWO WEEKS pre-op how oh how are you going to stick with a reduced intake plan for the rest of your life?? Think about it! I think they need to hear the truth, I don't think that sugar coating it is the answer(read my other reply will give you more information).

Pre-Op Diet A Fail
Let me tell you what I saw two days after surgery from other post op patients(surgery same day as mine) 1. eating a tomato soup(not clear liquid obviously) 2. eating a creamy ice cream bar with chunks of strawberry in it. 3. lady buying a large bag of chocolate bars from gift shop(wonder who they were for). So do I need to say re think it yes!! I lay my money down that these woman will not be successful and I pray that they will not have complications. Mostly likely they will blame their surgery as a failure...........

Pre-Op Diet A Fail
The point of the pre-op is to shrink your liver. If you can't stick to the pre-op you may want to re-consider having the surgery. It is a life changing event when it comes to your eating. Don't go into this expecting a miracle. You have to do a lot of work to make it happen. Good Luck to you.

Lapband To Sleeve- Have Some Questions :)
I will leave the chosing to my doctor as he is the expert. Like anything there will always be people who are not successful, you have to make sure that you are not one of them. Good Luck in whatever you chose to do.

How Far Do You Have To Travel?
Four and half hours to San Diego by plane then drive to Tijuana, Mexico

Lapband To Sleeve- Have Some Questions :)
I also wonder where you have read that lapband to sleeve is not successful, I have not read that at all. They remove a large portion of your stomach which is totally different than the band secured around the upper portion of your stomach. Two totally different surgeries with different outcomes.

Lapband To Sleeve- Have Some Questions :)
Oh one other thing.................... a band and a sleeve, really?

Lapband To Sleeve- Have Some Questions :)
I am going for my revision on Monday. A couple of answers for you: they use a special sizing instrument so no, they can't not take enough, 85% of your stomach is being removed. No need to remove more later. I am going to Mexico and paying $5500.00 for revision, and endoscopy. What is a net around the stomach never heard of this........................... Hopefully you won't want bread and butter...............you won't be able to eat copious amounts of food ever again. Kind of like with the band, my eating since having it has never been as much as it was, just not able to. They also say that your food preferences change hopefully you won't want bread and butter.
