Just was wondering if others have a weight gain right after surgery. I know that it must be water weight but I gained 7 pounds!

Don't look at the scale it will drive u crazy I gain a few pounds then loose 10 so don't stress it stop watching the scale 2 mos out 65 lbs down

Yes, I weighed 218 on surgery day and it took 5 days for me to get back to that after surgery. I didn't do anything but walk, drink and wait! You just had surgery, so give it time!

Ladies you are both right. jh5497 I went to Dr Garcia also and he was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't have wanted to go to anyone else!

I gained. Six pounds when I weighed after surgery in Mexico. I lost ten pounds about four days after being home. Lots of water weight and flying didn't help. No worries it will soon be gone:)

I gained about 17 lbs after surgery from all the IV fluid over 5 days (yes, i had a couple issues). I was pretty surprised when i weighed myself on day of discharge, but then again it was really great to be going home. It took about 2 weeks to lose it all.
