  1. I was 256lbs day of surgery on 10/1. When I came home I was 263lbs. Today I am 246lbs. I expected to come home heavier same thing happened after my c-section. Are you urinating and getting enough fluids? I know for the first few days I could smell the medicine in my urine. Sorry gross, but true.
  2. Yes they do. I live here and know many people that get stuff done.
  3. I had surgery 10/1 and going back on the 16th. The 15th is a local holiday. I honestly feel like I could go back this week. My hospital stay was 2 days and I needed it. The day after surgery I really was feeling bad.
  4. I think sometimes people forget this forum is multicultural and is made of people from all walks of life. I am offend by the comments and I am not Latina; however I live in a Latin American country. That was a very bigoted statement and unfortunately because we are on a forum people feel the need to say what ever they feel no matter who's feelings are affected. I have seen posts from particular individual on VST and I try to stay clear. I am reporting this post.-
  5. I am on my period is stated 3 days after surgery no cramps. I am thinking great maybe my insides are still asleep. So today is day 3 of period and terrible cramps! I never have cramps on day 3. I get up in middle of the night to pee too!!!! The first night was ruff getting out bed, it is getting easier. This not being able to sleep is a bear. On the plus side I am 17lbs down including preop diet. I am happy about that!
  6. Anyone else not sleeping? Do you take an acid reducer? I am taking Nexuim desolved in water yuck! I do find it to help.
  7. My one incision where they pulled my stomach out is itching like crazy. I did expect that to happen so soon.
  8. My left one u is sore today like I did to much. I have the heating pad on it.
  9. I wouldn't push it and say I feel great. I am very tired after being out. Plus I am just not resting well. You will get there. Don't be so hard on yourself! Remember we are all so different in this entire process.
  10. I had my first outing today after surgery. My daughter's school has an international festival to represent all the counties that attend. They have a parade and a show for each country. There are also tons of food booths from Argentina to Venezuela. I was not hungry or tempted! I drank over 20oz of water and 3 oz of tea!!!! I am so thankful that I am feeling well!!!
  11. I just got the Jack Links in the mail from Amazon. Of course I can't eat it yet, but my hubs likes his low cal high protein snacks too. Being abroad we are limited to our selections. I love me some beef jerky I will be happy when I can eat it again!
  12. I am on children's pain reliever too. I don't need anything stronger. We were sleeved the same day! Maybe try a different brand
  13. Wishing you the best. I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I am happy you found it early. Please keep us posted.
  14. Everyone is.so different. We had surgery the same day, but I feel much better today. Day 2 had me questioning myself for a minute. Just do what you can do. Fluids are the most important. My NUT told me if my urine is not clear I am not drinking enough. So that is my goal at this moment on day 4. Everything else will come with time! Congrats on getting to this step. It is still hard to believe I finally did it.
  15. Chapstick! My lips were so dry. I did not read my magazine or book. I did not use gas strips or listerine strips., but I wore my Chapstick out!
  16. Thank you! When do you go home? I found day 2 to be more difficult than any day. Thanks to the boards I kinda expected it! This is our month and I know we will all do great!!
