  1. Yes they can be cured----with lapband or weight loss surgery, lol.
  2. Try the milk called Skim plus. It it the consistency of perhaps 2% milk but is skim milk. It has more protein. It is good and definitely hits the spot. It comes in many types but just look for the skim milk with higher amount of protein.
  3. Yes you definitely see the difference. You look great! Keep up the good work.
  4. No one should ever bash you. We have all felt that way and there are times when I cannot feel if I am hungry or not. When I look at some of the weight losses that people have experienced I wonder if I will make it.
  5. I am going for my 3rd fill next week (11/21). I have 5.5cc right now but do not feel the best restriction. Don't worry about how many fills you get. You are doing what is the purpose of the band, limiting you food intake by adequate restriction. I am going to make mine work as long as my physician is in agreement.
  6. Congrats to all of you who were banded recently. I am with my daughter today who was banded today. Sitting here waiting to see her but this such an exciting time. Like the others said stay well hydrated.....sip, sip, and more sips.
  7. I wish I had too. I am just so glad we are taking control of our health. It is funny, I did not realize the power I had in my hand regarding our health. As soon as I started to take an active part in my health the rest of my family did too.
  8. All done! She is in recovery a d doing fine.
  9. I love Lose It but do you have any tricks that you do with it? I love the scanning part that allows you to scan your foods with a bar scan. That part is my favorite :-)
  10. I agree. Thank you for your prayers. People don't understand the soul searching you do before coming to this decision.
  11. I ended up taking off 3 weeks. I had an unexpected hernia repair. You don't know until surgery so that is the problem there. I was do tired and week that I could not have gone back. Like was said above, I guess if it goes text book you can go right back but I was glad I took the time off.
  12. You will be fine. Congrats on the date.
  13. My nsv happened 2 days ago when I could fit a shirt I had bought my daughter from Chico's last Christmas. That was exciting for me.
  14. I use Lose It! I like that one.
  15. My daughter is having lapband surgery today. We are in the waiting room as she gets prepped. This has been hard for her as she feels many have judged her because of being 21. We have a significant history of diabetes, HTN, and heart disease. Since my surgery I am off all diabetes medication and one of my BP meds. We have battled weight issues and we have both come to this conclusion.
  16. I have not loss that much but with the weight loss and dietary changes, I feel much better. Cannot weight until I have that major weight loss! Congrats!
  17. You look greet! I cannot wait to get to that point!
  18. I take my hiccups as a sign to stop eating as it probably is pressure on the diaphragm.
  19. No regrets! I had not loss any weight prior to starting this process and now I am at 25lbs and dropped clothing sizes. Can't beat that!
  20. Thank you. I am going to write that and hang it on my mirror.
  21. That is wonderful!! Keep up the good work.
  22. I agree. Three weeks is too early to just say eat until full. I have been measuring since I started this process. I have also been tracking my foods so I feel it is about developing health habits and behaviors that will help you through your weight loss process.
  23. It is just so funny as my GYN said this could happen but I was so surprised.
  24. I just cannot break the 300 lb. I exercise 3 times weekly and track my calories. I know it will come but it just stresses me that nothing else will come off.
  25. In reading your post, did you see a psychologist? Maybe you need to talk to someone to discuss your issues with food. Also going to the support group may help. Check your local hospital.
