  1. What made you know that the band slipped? What are the symptoms?
  2. Thanks so much. It is funny to hear I may not be eating enough. I did see the nutritionist but her directions were just information on the phases of diet etc. They did not talk about the stalling after surgery and what to do. No am finding there are a lot of things the left out.
  3. I was banded on September 24 and have been unable to loose anymore weight. I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, eat less than 900 calories daily which is considerably less than I have ever eaten. I limit my carbs very much and no more weigh loss. What can I do? I also had one fill.
  4. I am sure it was an experience but even with no fill, you don't normally live with a band on do there will be some resistance, just not as much as when you get your fill. Welcome to the other side of band life. We are all learning as we go along but it is a great journey with all our new friends on Lap band talk.
  5. Please email me the challenge at wgbem@aol.com. Thanks do much and congratulations.
  6. You ladies are strong and should just continue to look forward to the future. Our bands are going to help us build a new life that will give us the strength and will power. Please gang in there. We are here for you!
  7. I cannot WAIT to loss that amount! Congrats!
  8. I got 3cc after post op week 3 and I am not feeling as full as I thought I would. I feel like I need more restriction.
  9. Congrats to you! Welcome to the club.
  10. I Haden's today too. I was nervous but it was fine. I am glad all went well for you.
  11. Yes I needed one as I was having it done under fluoroscopy. Also had a $150 copay
  12. Everyone was so kind to Futute.....it is good to know we all have support here.
  13. I am at the hospital to get my first fill under fluoroscopy. Wish me luck!!
  14. I am getting a fill tomorrow if 3cc. Did it give you any feelings of restriction?
  15. I know they are covered just wondering if I need a referral
  16. Does anyone with a *** or PPO needed a referral when you go for a fill? I have to have it done under fluoroscopy.
  17. Yes what you are experiencing happened to me too then I went into "bandster hell" where I do not feel as much restriction as I feel is needed and started to feel hungry. That is when will power must take over. Now I cannot weight to get a fill. It i had real strong willpower I would not have needed the band. Hang in there and enjoy the restriction now.
  18. Yes, I will eat a tablespoon of peanut butter as a snack and that is good.
  19. To me it sounds like you should have waited. During the psych evaluation it was important to identify that circle of support. It sounds like either you did not do that or did not have a psych evaluation which is troubling. Anyway, it sounds like you need to make done hard decisions and but out those who are not supportive. You need a positive frame of mind to get through this because this is a major journey in your life and from what I can see, can be life altering.
  20. Have your fridge stocked with clear liquid drinks and jello. Also plenty of pillows for positioning.
  21. That is good the advice you have given. My weight fluctuates since I was banded on September 24 but when try on clothing I can see the inches have dropped although I fear gaining weight I am going to take the advice of those with more experience and take this time to heal.
  22. I was told to walk as well. I did try riding the stationary bike and felt a slight pull so I am not pushing it. I do walk a mile several times a week and today went on a college tour so had to do quite a bit of walking but it was fine.
