  1. Thank you for sharing. I too will have a filter when my day finally arrives. Had no idea how or where it would be. I think they said mine would be inserted day of surgery.
  2. One of my goals is to fit in Coldwater Creek clothes. Can't even fit in their plus sizes.
  3. When I was younger, probably 20s people would say, you were such a pretty baby. It was like they were saying, what happened.
  4. I felt the same way. I am also 5'7" and my doctor told me I was looking at 80 lbs. and I was thinking of 120 to 140. After 80 lbs. I would still weigh 212. I wouldn' t go through all of this to still be obese. After reading posts here I realize more is possible and decided after surgery I will do more to show him I can.
  5. Glad to hear everything went well!!
  6. Congratulations!! A 4 is awesome. Don't think I ever wore a 4.
  7. FatinIowa where are you having surgery? I'm in Iowa also. Dr. Eibbes is my surgeon.
  8. Thank you all for your supportive comments. They really helped.
  9. Thank you so much music box. Makes me feel better.
  10. I'm about 4 months from surgery. Today just the thought of a liquid diet makes me nauseous. I really want surgery but feel like I'm going crazy. Has anyone else felt this way?
  11. What happens if you can't get rings off due to gaining weight? Also, what about acrilic fingernails?
  12. I have also thought of surgery 24/7 since I had my informational meeting. I am both excited and anxious to get on with it. I have 6 months of doctor visits, just completed 3rd month. My doctor told me I was going to die if I didn't do something. So far I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes but doctor said it wasn't if I get them but when. Since I am 62 thought it was time I did something. That said I too have doubts when I read about complications and such but still think it is the best thing to do.
  13. Thank you for asking this. The idea of having a catheter also freaks me out a little. Never had one.
  14. Can you still swallow pills with water after surgery? I take 8 pills and this is a concern.
  15. My psych eval was just conversing with LSW not even a psychiatrist. Asked about things that happened 20 years ago. Seemed a waste of time but required.

  17. Cresteds are adorable. Very laid back personality, total lap dogs and biggest babies you ever saw. I too, tell myself before long won't be able to eat this so why not eat it now. Glad to hear when I finally get date that may change.
  18. Hello, everyone new to this. Let me introduce myself. I am Cresteds Mom, have 5 Chinese Cresteds. I am 3 months into 6 month waiting period for surgery where I see doctor monthly. Suppose to be exercising and losing weight but no set amount. I gained 2 pounds this month, discouraging. Keep telling myself if I could do it this way wouldn't need surgery. Have others had a problem during waiting period?</p>
