  1. Where is all of your stuff when you are in surgery? Do you have to leave it in the hospital room? I was thinking about this the other night. My suitcase will have my phone, passport, money, all that junk in it.
  2. This makes me feel better hearing this! I'm very anal and anxious! I would freak out at the slightest little thing. It bothers me that I'm not fluent in Spanish, but I've been considering buying Rosetta Stone before heading that way in March!! Haha. Also, is MI hospital fully equipped to handle any situation? I've been told yes, but just making sure
  3. I'm going to Lopez in March I've paid my deposit, and hope to get the plane tickets soon! I'm getting nervous...
  4. When I finally decided that I was having the surgery I started eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. I'm not having my surgery until March, so I'm steadily gaining more weight because I'm eating more. I've slowed down a lot though...
  5. I can't stick to a diet lol I know the sleeve will work for me because its a tool. My stomach will be smaller, and the hunger hormones aren't going to be as bad. I believe that will help me. I'm going to follow the diet with the sleeve because I wouldn't want to jeopardize my health. Right now, I just eat whatever and don't care about the consequence, but once I get the sleeve there will be consequences if I eat the wrong things
  6. Absolutely. I'm trying to keep my composure here at work, but I feel like I'm about to have a nervous breakdown. I just wish that there was some way I could help... My heart goes out to them. God bless.
  7. Yep! Flip flop stage for sure! I made myself so sick with anxiety. I was worrying day and night. I finally had to just change my mindset on it all together and rethink all the reasons why I want this surgery. I'm afraid of complications, I'm afraid of dying. I have a baby who needs me, and has no father in his life, so I'm feeling selfish for making this decision with him being so little. But I can't go on like this anymore. Just the depression from it alone is really taking its toll on me. With every pound I gain, I feel like I'm getting further and further away from myself... I hope that makes sense. I just want to be happy, and a big majority of my unhappiness revolves around my weight.
  8. Hmmmm.... That's a tough one! Aceves is a great surgeon, he's been doing it for a long time. But he's about double the money you're gonna pay for Garcia... I've heard great things on Garcia too though, but in my opinion, if I had the funds and that's not an issue, I'd go with Aceves.
  9. Woo hoo! I've been looking around at flights and pricing them as well. I know that I better get my ticket soon because it is Spring Break after all.
  10. You'll see me! I'll be the fat one...
  11. I seriously laughed out loud at the Eduardo comment!! I'm so glad that you've had a positive experience so far! It makes me more comfortable to hear these experiences! Thank you so much for sharing!!
  12. Haha I don't know what that means, but I'm assuming it says Dr. Ortiz and Eduardo are super hot??? Lol
  13. And is Eduardo mucho caliente?? Haha jk
  14. Thall, please share more about your experience! Amanda and I are dying to know! Lol we are worry warts.
  15. Really?! I didn't know that! I know Janese was gonna start taping some surgeries, I guess what that was for. I kinda want my surgery DVD lol
  16. Yep! Are you getting scared or anxious at all?
  17. What influenced you the most on the surgeon you chose?
  18. Which docs have butchered?
