  1. Hi! Dr. Z did my surgery about 3 years ago! I’ve had zero complaints! He’s an excellent surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone! You’re in good hands with him!
  2. I’m looking into plastic surgery in Mexico! This is a good doctor? I assume so since you have booked with her
  3. Hello everyone! I’m researching plastic surgeons in Mexico! If you’ve had great results and would like to share with me who you went to that would be awesome! Thanks
  4. I haven't logged on here in quite a while, but I totally understand being nervous and scared to death to go to Mexico. It's worth it though! It's so confusing trying to pick the right surgeon for you. But I can say there are a few I would trust and a few I wouldn't. Don't make a last minute decision on who you want to do this procedure. I personally went with Dr. Zavalza and I haven't had any complications at all and I'm almost 2 years out.
  5. Love Dr. Z and the whole team!
  6. To go to Dr. Alvarez, you probably fly into San Antonio. He has a wonderful reputation and I briefly considered going with him, but I just couldn't afford it. I think there are highly skilled and competent surgeons in TJ, so that's where I went and Dr. Almanza no bueno!!!! Lol
  7. I had Dr Zavalza. Very good doctor! Don't be worried at all. Dr. Almanza was the one you needed to be worried about and they don't work with him any longer.
  8. Before booking with certain doctors in Tijuana, please do your research on them! Whether it be on here or other informative websites. If you type their name in google and a bunch of complication stories pop up... Helloooooo lol might be a red flag. Here's a brief story of one of my friends that went with a surgeon without researching and he deeply regrets his decision. There are too many good ones in Tijuana to go with one that does as many people as he can squeeze in. How do they even have time to clean the OR in between patients? Hmmm. From Steve: If I would have a researched and done my new due diligence I would not have went to Dr. Almanza, just for the sheer fact of the quantity of patients he takes a day! However, those who know me know I'm very impatient! I decided to get the surgery so I found a doctor scheduled my surgery, booked my flight and flew out of here! The worst decision of my entire life is not doing research! And to think, every other aspect in my life I research the heck out of! I honestly thought this procedure was no big deal, everybody gets it done! I am amazed to know after my ordeal there are people out there that would consider him after reading my story. Let's say for one minute that he only did this once and it was to me. Just the fact Dr. Almanza never returned any of my phone calls, never returned any of my surgeons phone calls, never returned one single phone call that alone would make me run like hell! I am a very fair, honest, logical and sensible guy! If Dr. Almanza did the right thing - I guarantee you I would not be discussing him right now! If he followed up, helped my physicians, sent surgical notes or if he did anything to assist me, I guarantee you I would not say bad things about him. I cannot believe I did not even get one single fucking phone call! We needed him so bad, you guys have no idea!
  9. Check with Dr. Zavalza as well. I believe he does surgeries in PV
  10. Love Dr. Zavalza and Dr. Luna! You can't go wrong with them!
  11. AnnaMarie, does it feel a little sore? Its not warm to touch, just kind of more sensitive than my other leg
  12. My calves have been sore since I had surgery so I just thought it would go away. Two days ago I noticed what looks like to me, a vein that is kind of lumpy on my lower right calve. It isn't painful, but I can tell it doesn't feel like my other leg. I'm not running a fever either. What could this be? I read last night that sometimes you can't even tell there is a blood clot and you don't know it until it gets in your bloodstream.
  13. Who was your surgeon if I may ask
  14. Dr. Francisco Zavalza in Tijuana, Mexico at Florence Oasis hospital. Wonderful experience!
  15. I believe the sleeve is just $4250... but would have to ask David about that
  16. I was going to do the single incision as well, but after hearing from others that the scars are barely noticeable I went with the regular sleeve to save me some money
  17. Who is your surgeon if I may ask?
  18. No problem! how do you know him? Dr. Kellys fb page?
  19. Cassy, I talked to him the day he went in for his bypass and that was the last I've heard from him. I will let you know soon as I hear from him
  20. Ok... anyone who would like to speak to him about his experience look him up on facebook... steve kaiser. He can tell you all about his experience.
  21. I have a friend who had his dreadful experience as well. Talk to him all the time. He might be able to eat food eventually now that they have converted him to a bypass
  22. Just go to google and type in Dr Almanza and read some stuff
  23. I am about 10 days postop and I still need to do a thorough review of my experience in Tijuana, but if you are looking for a very skilled and compassionate surgeon then please check into Dr. Francisco Zavalza. I had a great experience and now that I'm at home, I feel wonderful. I had a very easy recovery that's for sure. Feel free to ask me any questions if you have any!
