So, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. Maybe tell me what you would do. Would you go to a Dr. that has a good reputation, good on price, but doesn't work in a hospital, and you don't really know what kind of service you would get from the coordinators because you have read mixed reviews (not that they are doing your surgery, but they do effect your experience) Or would you... Go to a Dr. With a impeccable reputation, stay in a hospital, but pay double what you would have with the other Dr. This dr has been doing the surgery for many more years so you feel a bit more at ease with him. So, would you go with the one Dr. Who is half the cost? Chances are things may go all smooth and you would save like 4 grand! Or, would you go with the pricier Dr. But with a Doc that's done it longer and in a hospital.

I think they are running the special for Valentines Day.

If I was still having my surgery in March, my tickets would only be a little over 200 for round trip. That's not bad at all!!

They are having an awesome special going on right now! Starting at $49 for one way depending on the mileage. If you need tickets, definitely check it out and save some money!!! Lol

This may be a really stupid question, but is there somewhere we can see a surgeons stats besides their own website?

Wow! That is kinda frustrating isn't it? How are we supposed to get the care we need if the healthcare professionals don't even know what it is?! As popular as this surgery has become, you would think they would be well educated on it.

I was not calling you a liar at all. Matter of fact I 100% believe you. That's the thing, I've tried telling others when they inquire about this surgeon that he has done up to 12 a day from what I have read, and most people call ME the liar. So yes, I was being sarcastic. Not towards you or anyone else for that matter. Just glad that others are coming out and stating the facts is all

Well, do whatever you feel is comfortable. You can always switch if you don't feel comfortable with him. So I guess Omar was your coordinator, and now he's not anymore?

I have read many great things on Dr. Kelly, but I agree, it was the drama that turned me away from him. All the rumors made me very nervous... I'm even nervous picking a surgeon that I've read no rumors about! Lol this is a very nerve wracking process.

It came in today!! too bad I'm not able to use it when I wanted to. It only took about 2 weeks to come in and I also received my birth certificate back today as well.

Had another WLS dream last night! Lol I was supposed to be discussing my surgery with Dr. Ortiz at OCC, but he was Dr. Drew.... You know, drug rehab Dr. Drew. Haha I was trying to talk to him about prices and he was going to do my surgery for $1000 if I could get 2 more people to schedule surgeries also.

So, since I've had to cancel my surgery I've been depressed... Even more so than what I was before. I felt like I finally found a solution to help me with my problem, and I had to just give up on that all together. I've been thinking of any way possible to come up with the money. But I do have good news! My income tax may be more than what I anticipated! if so, I still may not be able to go in March, but maybe in a few more months!! I hope...

Sometimes they change... I wasn't aware that they don't want you discussing the price.
