  1. I'm going there in March with Dr. Lopez. I'm nervous as well, but many people on this forum have calmed my nerves and I'm comfortable with my decision. Don't worry!!
  2. One of those slutty Halloween costumes... Jk
  3. I was told by my coordinator that yes, I absolutely need one. Others on here have said they made it through with a birth certificate, but I'm not taking my chances.
  4. Haha well then I guess it wouldn't matter if I was fat anymore...
  5. If you don't mind me asking, what's your height/weight?
  6. That's awesome! I'm on the same day!! I have quadruple checked yet though... Haha. I'm sure that I drive Janese crazy.
  7. Lol yes I did! did they go ahead and put you on the books for that day?
  8. Is anyone having surgery with Dr. Lopez or Garcia in March 2013? I'm going to be there March 10th- 15th. I would love to talk with others that are going to be there as well- or considering surgery around this time!
  9. I do it nightly... Lol you better go through with it sleeve buddy! We are scheduled for the same day... I'm gonna be sad if I don't see you there! I was just looking at pictures of myself when I was skinny... Makes me want to fly to Mexico right now!!
  10. Lol I wonder just how much the stomach can actually stretch??? Mine is probably at maximum capacity by now...
  11. I believe mine is too because no matter how much I eat, I'm never full! So, I wanna see how big that sucker is!!! Haha
  12. Does anyone else actually want to see their stomach after surgery? The portion that's removed? I dont know why, but I'm just curious to see how big it is... Guess that makes me a weirdo! Lol
  13. I know this wasn't meant to be funny, but I seriously busted out laughing about shoving the muffin down your throat because that sounds just like something I would do... Lol I'm pre-op myself and don't have surgery until March 11th. All of the questions that you have going through your mind, I have as well. I think that I'm going to kind of miss being fat because it's what I hide behind. When that's gone, what am I going to do? I'm going to miss all the foods that I eat now in excessive amounts and shoveling muffins down my throat, but this is best for the both of us!!
  14. I don't see how all the coordinators keep track of all the surgeries with them being with different companies and everything. I guess they have something on their computer that they all can see so they can keep track of how many surgeries are scheduled for that day or whatever. But I'm sure it does get hectic! Lol
  15. Janese has been very helpful answering all of my questions, and she stays extremely busy. I'm trying not to think about the negatives and focus on the positives! I read everyone's experiences and I think I know what I'm getting myself into for the most part! Haha I'm a very thorough person and like things organized, but like it was stated earlier, its going to be a different culture and a different way of going about things. I'm sure it will all be fine... I haven't ever read any bad experiences at all so that's a plus.
  16. I just paid my deposit last night, through alighterme and Janese is also who I've been corresponding with. I also just got a generic receipt saying thanks for the payment... I've sent emails back and forth a few times asking questions and stuff, but if it's this unorganized, it's making me feel uneasy. If I see that things are just thrown together, I'm not going to feel comfortable with my decision at all.
  17. Ok, I'm a about to pay my deposit!! I'm just sitting here pondering on if I REALLY want to go through with this and imagining just how different my life will be once I do... It's a huge decision. I hope and pray that I'm doing what's best for me...
  18. Lol wish that I could change it to a month earlier! But my Mom has to watch my baby for me and spring break is the best time for her to do that.
  19. I may be making mine tomorrow too! Couldn't do it today because I had to move some money from my checking account to credit card lol waiting for that to go through, then I can make the deposit.
  20. I'm just worried about making the wrong decision... Like what if something bad happens during surgery? Or even after surgery when I get back home. It's mainly stuff with having the sleeve that's worrying me. I've read a few posts where some people feel like they did it for nothing because they aren't losing much weight at all.
  21. I think what scares me the most is just the Unknown. I don't know what to expect really. I've never been outside the US before so I'm kind of freaking out about it. Not so much right now, but come March I'm going to be a big ball of anxiety I'm sure
