Put your blinders on and ignore her. Stay focused with your eyes on the prize and pay no attention to what she says. Some folks just can't stand seeing others succeed so they try to sabotage you, steal your thunder, take credit for your successes and just have a difficult time controlling that green monster they have inside. Stay strong!

Well, I think this is probably the right thing for me. I've just been thinking about how much I'm going to have to change my relationship with food and my lifestyle. I didn't realize there were foods you can no longer eat, etc. and truthfully I thought it was going to be easier than it sounds. I feel like this is a last resort and what if I fail? Initially I was disappointed that I have to wait 4 months, but now I'm glad I have the time to accept and deal with the changes I will have to make. I lost a significant amount of weight in the past (not in a healthy way, either), but gained a lot back and realize I can't do it on my own again.

Hello! I had my consultation appointment with the Lap-Band Center and first visit with the nurse yesterday! I've been reviewing all of the information and am still trying to decide if this is the right choice for me. I think it is, but I was given information I hadn't considered before. My insurance requires a 4 month waiting period before I can have the procedure.
