Do You Drink Coffee, How Much Weight Have You Lost?

I drink coffee... I drink it every day... probably 2-3 cups... That being said I also drink ALOT of water as well so I don’t really worry about the argument between whether coffee counts as a liquid or not... I am drinking enough water to get my daily intake plus whatever I could lose in coffee and probably a little more... I don’t worry about the added calories too much bc I don’t use sugar and I use only about 1-2 tbsp of skim milk in it... As to this coffee debate people have I say to each his own... There will never be a definitive answer on the coffee good or coffee bad debate!

I bought the Thickening Shampoo at CVS. I've seen it at target too... It was maybe $14 for both Shampoo and Conditioner.

    All of my December sleevers...

As for hair loss, I was experiencing it very badly... I actually was reccomended Loreal's Everpure Thickening Shampoo... Since Ihave been using it my hair loss has stopped for the most part. It slowed down after the second wash and stopped after about a week...

    Just ate a Wendy's cheeseburger!

Personally, I don't see it as getting "The Magical Sleeve Surgery"... I just see it as not living on a constant diet... Maybe I am one of the few lucky ones who doesnt have food issues... 1 cheese burger is not going to send me into a tailspin of overeatting... I can only speak for myself and I was giving my opinon on food to the OP... This is one of the things that has really started to annoy me and make me not frequent this site as much as I use to... People seem to think they know more then others and think they know about every single person's situation... And I am sure they may think they do, but stop being all judgey... Just bc the OP ate a Wendy's cheeseburger doesnt mean she is a going to eat one or one hundred every day of the rest of her life. Maybe she can eat a cheese burger every once in a while and live a perfectly normal life... I know I can...

    Just ate a Wendy's cheeseburger!

Here is my viewpoint on it... I got this surgery so I could live my life and not be on a diet the rest of my life... I delt with my food issues a long time ago... I was a product of a single parent home and lets face it I lived with a single father who worked 3 jobs just to make ends meet and Pasta was super cheap as were $1 cheese burgers... I gained alot of weight as a child, to top that off I have hypothyroidism and PCOS... So losing weight without DRASTIC portion control is exremely hard... That off topic explaination being said... My reason for having this surgery was for the portion control... My family eats very healthy for the most part but when they indulge I will too... I will continue to eat cake, I will have pizza in my life... I will eat in restaraunts... I will eat hogies, subs, grinders whatever you wanna call them... I will eat it all just in moderation! I am sure I will eat a Wendys Burger again!

    help! wedding! alcohol!

I like to drink "Dirty Shirleys" It is Vodka, Sprite, Grenadine and Lime Juice, If made correctly there is VERY little carbonation bc the soda is diliuted so much with the grenadine, lime juice and vodka... I use sprite zero in mine... I am in my sister's wedding in May and I was wondering what to drink... By choice I drink Red Wine regularly but I hate to drink it when I go out and there could be pictures involved bc I HATE the purple tinge to my teeth... I was so happy when someone introduced me to the dirty shirley, the first time I had it was in NYC when we saw Chicago last month it was the Theater's featured drink for the show

    Boobs?

I feel like a bigger B cup is good on petite women and a c cup is good on average size women... A full C is nice but depending on your body it may look fake and too big...
  13. I was sleeved 12.12.12... Weight Pre Surg: 264 DOS Weight: 258 Todays Weight 204 I have lost 60lbs total...54 since DOS!
  14. I am 203.4lbs today! I officially have 10 left to reach my goal!!!
  15. You could try some ground turkey (or beef whichever you prefer) brown the meat, mix with a little gravy (I used fat free gravy) and put it over some mashed potatoes. Or cook chicken then shred (or use a store bought rotisserie chicken) it mix it with a little gravy (again I use Fat Free) and eat with mash potatoes. Both of these I at about 1/4 cup TOTAL. Or try shredded chicken with taco seasoning and melt some cheese overtop and top with salsa maybe a little sour cream if you enjoy it... Buy or Make meatballs (again I make mine with ground turkey) mash them up and mix with really good marinara sauce and top with some riccotta cheese. Your problem with dense protien may be that it is to dry. Esspecially since youre not drinking with your meals any longer. This was my problem at first as well. While people may flame me for suggesting you eat gravy... The suggestions above came from my Nutritionist. And I am not telling you to eat gravy by the spoonful! You can PM me and I will give you some more ideas if you'd like.
  16. I have eaten it right out of the package... At my local food store they sell in reg packages then in individual packages (like string cheese) I also make a quick family dish: I sautee a shallot, mushrooms and add the crab meat to warm it. I usually add some white wine while cooking the shallot and mushrooms. Then I steam broccoli and mix it all together with some shredded mozarella cheese. I just eat this mixture but I serve it to my family over whole wheat pasta that I toss in a little EVOO and garlic. I used to do this recipie with real crab but then I started using the immitation crab meat and it tastes great too! So you could really use either one! This is a favorite in my house. My 3 year old LOVES it! He also eats the imitation crab meat right out of the bag. We have to keep it in my house like we do string cheese.
  17. Personally I lose between 1-2lbs on average a week, randomly I will have an awesome week where I lose 5lbs and randomly I will have a week where I losed .5lbs... Losing and average of 1-2lbs a week consistantly is awesome! My dr and NUT told me as long as I am consistantly losing weight not to get upset at the numbers 1-2;bs a weeks is healthy! Think about it 2lbs a week adds up to 104lbs in a year! And I am sure you will see weeks with bigger losses and weeks with smaller losses as well! Good Luck!

when can I drink from a straw again.....

I started drinking from a straw (with my drs blessing) about 6 weeks post op! I have had no problems...
  19. I know that's right! Ain't no one got time for that!
  20. Honestly you don't have to say goodbye forever (unless thats some type of trigger place for you) they have very healthy alternatives in comparison with alot of other restaraunts! They not only offer the Skinnylicious Menu but they have "Small Plates" as well! And if you ask even at dinner they will give you the lunch portion at the lunch price!
  21. Yes and HONESTLY I feel it is just as good, if not better then their regular menu!! And I felt that way pre-surgery too! Its cheaper as well!
  22. Maybe people wouldn't be so much on the defensive if the OP wasn't coming across like she was better then other people (this is just IMHO) and if she didn;t us the term "faties" to refer to other people on this site... That was just rude!
  23. I am sorry but this comment alone has a very condescending tone... Maybe that's why you're not getting the support you are so obviously looking for...
  24. The Lettuce Wrapped Tacos from the Small Plates Section of the Skinnylicious Menu... I LOVE these, I can eat 2 of the 3 so I don't feel like so much food is left behind! I have had the Mexican ones and the Greek ones both were AMAZINGLY good! I still had a little room after a few minutes for 2 small bites of my sister in laws red velvet cheesecake!!
