  1. The reason why I don't know which surgery I want is the complications risks and the amount of weight lossed with each surgery. The lap band I heard you don't lose much weight as you might with gastric bypass or the sleeve. It makes me unsure of which surgery I want because clearly I want to lose all I can. Why has anyone else chosen the lap band over anything else? I know with gastric bypass you can't eat sugars and other things because you have the dumping syndrome. And with the sleeve I'll feel uneasy about having my stomach permanently removed. I weigh 244lbs and am 5'7. I want to lose 90lbs. Which surgery is best for me?
  2. And thats what I'm trying to do now is additional research. What's better then to ask people that have gone through it?
  3. Thanks everyone. It helps to know how others are dealing with it. I know everyone will have different results but I'm hoping I can really follow the guidelines and have quick weight loss and be healthy.
  4. Today I was given the news that I would be getting the lap band surgery. The dr will call me next week to schedule. I am so anxious to get this ball rolling because I am over being fat! I weigh 244lbs and I am 5'7. I guess my questions are has anyone experienced complications?? Also what does the lap band help you out with the most? Does it help u not over eat like it says it does? My problem is now I eat past being full. I am afraid I will over eat still!! or will the bad really prevent that? This one of my many questions.
