    1 Extreme To The Other

I have had my first refill a week ago tomorrow... I feel like I did when I first was banded... I am finding it easy to control the eating... My Dr. Said I was WAY to tight... Now the fills are done with the fluoroscope so that will not happen again... Lessen learned... If you think you are too tight you probably are... Have it checked out...,
  2. I also gave Tricare... The fills are covered. You will just have your normal co- pay...
  3. I tried several protein shakes and finally settled on Atkins... They are rather tasty. I still use them on the mornings that I am tight.... Give them a try...
  4. Never... I still burp after 3 years ... You just learn to burp quietly...

    1 Extreme To The Other

How are you doing with your motivation??? I hope you found yours again... Maybe if you try a not so severe approach? Start by stopping one thing and then the next week stop something else??? I had to have my bad completely reopened today... I stretched my pouch and now have to start over in a month... I am mad at myself for letting my eating get back out of control. I will start over and I think I found my motivation... Failure is not fun!!!
  6. Have been banded for 3 years... My gallbladder went haywire last year and had to be removed. I will be the first to admitt that I have not made the best food choices lately. My situation is... I have began to have moderate to severe pain around, if not directly from, my liver.. Is there anyone else that has had or is having this issue? I have went back to liquids for a few days to get the "crap" out if my system. It has not helped as of yet. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful.

    Decisions, Decisions

Being banded was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself! Myself!!!!! This is a choice that you must make for you! Yes, you eat very little; but you feel full. This will only work if you use the tool as it was meant to be used. You can have a treat, a glass of wine, or some I've cream. You just have to be smart about it and not go overboard. But everything you go through with the band is worth it when you go from a size 22W to a 6... And by the way... a size 6 is really small!!!
  8. Good luck... You will he happy you have this tool...
  9. I felt like I was the only one that had this problem... I have been on program for 6 days now and I am already feeling better.. I was feeling like a slug.... I look forward to how I will feel in another week... Just try one day at a time.. That is what I have started doing!!!!

    DON'T Have Band Surgery If....

Thank you for the proverbial "swift kick"...
  11. My gall bladder also just stopped working. I had to have it removed due to the intense pain. That surgery was a lot easier than the banding. I have felt a lot better since it was remove
  12. Hi... I am going through the same phase... I have found some strength trolling through these posts... I have "been good" and stayed on program for 4 days!!! I have been banded for 3 years... I have gained almost a third of my weight back... It's not easy to stay on program when your husband asks you to make cookies as mine just did.... I guess we will have to stick together and encourage and support each other!!!

    Post Lap Band Diet

Walk.... And you can drink Atkins Shakes if you are past clear liquids... Don't expect to drink the entire shake but they will help get your protein and help you feel fuller longer...
  14. I put my meat and veggies in a muffin pan. I add eggs that have been mixed with half and half and some spices and pop the pan in the oven at 350 until the "quiches" are done and set.. I can ten freeze them and reheat my breakfast quiches each morning!!!
