  1. So I am metting with a surgeon and not sure what to expect, I have Kaiser and I was shocked to find out the surgeon looks at you and your history and make the decision for you which procedure they will do, bypass, sleeve, or band. I went to a 4 hour class and they told us bands are done very rarely .... I am super bummed, I want the band, the other procedures are to scary. I wish someone would shed some light. Kaiser is WEIRD !

  3. Its very normal ! I have not had the surgery yet, but I will count on crying. Crying is the bodies natural way of healing .......so embrace it, and be glad you body is NORMAL and doing exactly what is it supossed to do.
  4. I guess this is the begining. I was lucky enough to get this surgery approved by my insurance at no cost to me. Now I am dealing with the what if's and fear of the unknown. I have my KAISER orientation on Tues.then need to make a decision. I know I want this, I just dont want problems afterward. It would help if my family was supportave, but they are not. I feel like I have been in a fat suit I cant get off for 29 years. My 30th birthday is on Monday, and my gift to myself is a new life.
