    Taking Back the Sleeve!

Just thought I drop in. Nice to see I am not alone on this journey! So far, I have lost another three pounds, so a total of 12 down. Feeling great with loads of energy, so hopefully I will be able to maintain the momentum. Have stuck with the primarily high Protein diet ( Meal Replacements shakes and one real meal). Have not had a soda in over a month, which is bad for Dr. Pepper but good for me!

    Taking Back the Sleeve!

Ok- I have mentioned in some posts about bad behaviors that crept back in which prevented me from reaching goal, and added a little more to my struggles. A few people indicated they were in a similar spot, and would love to have an accountability partner. So here goes: After the surgery, it was too easy to lose weight. i was never hungry, and so I ate what I could whenever. I started eating later. I began to tolerate carbs, and they slowly drifted back into my diet. I started sipping at meals, with a straw. I renewed my love affair with Dr. Pepper. The weight fell off easily. Until it stopped. Now it's time for a serious changes as I noticed, I put on a few pounds this past winter. I officially state that I AM TAKING BACK MY SLEEVE! I am starting fresh as it were. I am doing Protein shakes. I am taking Vitamins. I am counting calories. I am eating as "clean" as possible. I am drinking Water. I am getting in more physical activity. Basically, I am now doing everything I should have been doing all along, but sadly admit I never did. Three weeks into it and I am down 9 pounds and lost over 15 inches. I feel great and hope to keep doing better as I embrace the lifestyle changes I should have made two years ago. Who's with me???

I was very glad to see this topic. I am about 2 1/2 years out, never made goal (by about 15 lbs) and this fall gained about 10 lbs back. I know the grazing has killed me. Also, being able to better tolerate carbs too. I have been trying to figure out what to do to get back on track. This week I statted with shakes as meal substitiutes with a nice high Protein low carb dinner. Hopefully I can get back on the right side of the scale movement.

PLEASE tell me my boobs will shrink

I started out at like a 46C/D, but bras never really seemed to fit right anyway. My issues was always band size. After 100 pounds lost, I am currently at a 36DD. I have gotten professionally sized three times in nine months. The band size has gone down, but the girls have sort-of remained the same.
  7. I want to chime in here. A month or so after surgery, my husband started referring to me as schleppy. I looked it and felt worse because I was in clothes that were only a size too big, and I didn't want to go out and buy some clothes at that point. Well, I caved and went to Lane Bryant as they had a sale. I bought a shirt and two pants that fit- what a difference it made in my head. The biggest difference was the new bra I bought. I got fitted for the first time in years. It is amazing what a good fitting bra will do to your figure and your spirits. Let's just say the girls weren't the only things that were perky. Do something small for yourself like picking out a bra or something. You will look and feel better. I now do my nails and hair and wear makeup on a regular basis. The "head" part of the losing process I think is the most difficult part. I still fight it as I continue to be in beween sizes. I will admit I am not totally happy. My bingo wings don't thrill me. My biggest thing- my neck and hands look old. I catch myself staring at my neck and pulling it back so that i don't see the winkles. But you know what- I will live with it and fix it later on if I can. I have lost almost 100lbs and am no longer diabetic. I feel great and it is worth it, and I remind myself of that eveytime I catch myself feeling old or frumpy (in too big clothes).
  8. I wanted to be at 175 for CW- would have made it 100lbs gone... but only made it to 178. Is there a July 4 challenge? maybe I can tweak out those last three piunds by then. Actually, still really happy. Weight loss is trikling now at 7 months, but still feel great.
  9. I think you look awesome! Keep up the great work.

    Android App Testers Needed!

    I will help out.
  11. I work in an office. I kept wearing my clothes until people starting commenting on how schleppy I looked. I guess I was still seeing the "big" me in my head, and couldn't see how crappy I really was looking in the fat, comfy clothes. I bought a full lentgh mirror. I packed up the really big stuff, then bought one or two replacement items at a time. I've kept doing this, and little by little I am mostly in a transition wardrobe. I started at 3x and 24s and am now in L and 14s. The items I have purged, I have donated to my church- clothes, coats, shoes. Now for the summer, I have a few pieces that I can keep using while I head to my target weight. Little by little I am purging, but it is important to just let go of the fat clothes. The purging helped me to shed the image of the "big" me to what I actualy am.
  12. I used to take Imitrex, pills then shots, and the meltaway meds too. I eentually started the Topamax which was awesome. As i gained weight, the migraines lessened in frequency and intensity, so I stopped taking the meds and would use Excedrin for Migraines. Well, since surgery, the migraines have started to resurface. I have had about five in the last six months. Horrible feeling since I can't take the Excedrin. If it doesn't get any better, I am going to have to go back to square one with the doctor and find something to take.
  13. So far at 184. Lot's of work to do t get those last 9 pounds for the challenge. I'll be happy to get to 180.

    breast size (for women)

I have gone from 46C to currently 38DD. This is due to losing lots of band size (aka back fat). Seeing as how I feel very little cushion on the band are now, I don't see it getting any lower than 38/36 there.
  15. Hi- sleeved on Oct 24th. SW 270 CW- 187 I can just aout eat anything BUT rice, Pasta, salads and fluffy breads. I turn into a gas machine and feel like crap when I do. I don't exercise much, but I need to so I can start toning. I could drink more Water too. Oh, and the ice cream with sprinkles should probably not be on my weekly diet. I am doing what I can though. Started in 22/24 and 3x, now down to 14/16 and regualr XL. This close to saying goddbye to Lane Bryant and hitting the 100 pounds loss mark. That's my goal for June.
