I would recommend the sleeve. Doctors are offering it more now because insurance companies have caught on to the high success rate it has, and are now covering the procedure. FYI I was told that if you are not happy with the sleeve you could have it revised to RNY, although this choice is very rare. BTW I am 11 days post op and love my sleeve so far. Good luck to you.

I have a fruit infusion pitcher. There is a basket in the center to hold the fruit in so you can keep refilling the pitcher and reuse the fruit for about a week. Cucumber is great and I also love strawberry. I want to try cucumber mint soon.Where did you get the pitcher? That sounds like a great invention.

Wow... Thanks for the great advice and keeping it real. I will remember your story when I reach my goal and beyond.

I had the same exact fear. I knew I was depressed because of the weight gain, and I was afraid this would hinder the clearance. took a 600 question true false test. The psychologist basically said " I know it will come back as your depressed". They really just want to make sure that you don't have any eating disorders or any other self sabatoging behavior that will put you at risk after surgery. Don't worry it will be fine.

I'm 7 days post op and besides the Isopure my unflavored unjury Protein is an essential part of my diet. I add it to my oatmeal' date=' Jello, pudding, chicken broth and cream Soups. It doesn't taste any different, but it makes the Jello cloudy but I feel better knowing I'm getting that extra Protein in. I'm getting ready to order a 2nd can.[/quote']Hi Nina, was the unflavored tasteless?

That is awesome!! I have my follow up next Thursday and hope to soon be back at Water aerobics and spin classes. This week' date=' I'm sticking w/ walking and trying my best to listen to my body.[/quote']Spin classes. That's awesome! I tried a spin class once and almost died. I could barely keep up with the class. Definitely listen to your body. All I can really do is walk at the moment, but I can't wait to get in the Water again.

My surgeon removed my strips and examined my incisions. We discussed how things were going and advanced me to full liquids 1 week early. We also talked about the next upcoming weeks. I would take a pen and pad for notes; I regret not taking anything. He also asked if I had concerns or complaints this far. If you have questions I would take them in on that visit:-)Thanks birdebird this helps a lot.

I want to dance again! I think I'm a pretty good dancer, however I look rediculous dancing now.
I want to be able to talk to the opposite sex without turning bright red and looking at my shoes.
I want to get on stage and Karaoke again.
These are just a few. I could go on and on and on............

I'm 10 days post op and I noticed this happens if my sips are too big.

What can I expect at my first post-op follow up appt? I will be 10 days out. I never had a drain. I have 5 incisions, 1 due to a hiatal hernia repair.
