  1. Awesome, thanks! How are you doing now 4 months post op? I feel pretty good. Still can't eat meat other than chicken without getting sick, but other than that no major issues thankfully.
  2. Surgery date 4/30 Starting weight 259 Current weight 207 Total loss of 52lbs in 12 weeks! I love my sleeve and the only regret I have is not doing it sooner!!

Surgery date was 4/30/12 and as of today I am down exactly 50 lbs. 259 to 209. My first 6 lbs were actually lost on my 2 week preop diet though. So technically I'm down 44 lbs since the actual surgery. Sounds like were right on track with each other then! Keep me updated with your progress! You're the only other one that I know so far that has a surgery date so close to mine! Congrats on your success so far, keep it up!!
  4. I work weekends on an Ortho/Neuro floor and we do a lot of the physical pushing and pulling as well. I took off 11 days and when I came back to work I didn't have any issues. I didn't take any pain meds past the 3rd day post op and as long as I drank my Protein shake everyday lack of energy wasn't a problem either. Maybe my case is the exception, but I really didn't think the surgery was that big of deal. Hopefully yours will be the same too! Good luck to you!

I'm in Jackson, Tn. Right between Memphis and Nashville. I had my surgery at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville 4/30/12 by Dr Crystal Twynham. You are certainly NOT the only fat person in Tn! Lol
  6. RN here as well. 32 yes old, sleeved 4/30/12 and as of tonight I'm down exactly 50 lbs!! (259 to 209) WooHoo
  7. I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this. Thank you for reaching out to me!

    Rock on, sister!!! That's awesome!

    Six Months!

That's an average of 10lbs a month! That's great! Don't compare your journey to anyone elses- we're all different. Just remind yourself that you didn't put all the weight on over night so don't expect it all to come off over night. Slow and steady is healthy. Congrats and keep up the great work!
  10. Hey! I'm so glad I found this site! I live 2 hours away from my surgeons office so I don't attend the support group meetings and I haven't had any luck finding a group in my area. This site is an answer to my prayers. I look forword to chatting with fellow sleevers I was sleeved April 30th. Any other out there?
