    These Fleeting Moments Of Panic

Yes!!! I had one of those moments on an airplane and I have never experienced anything like that before when flying. Ugh! It does get much better. I think it is your body adjusting to the trauma of surgery and new diet. Hang in there!
  2. Absolutely!!! I feel like the more weight I have gained, the more of a nobody I have become at work....almost the forgotten one. I am sure it is that I am now so self conscious about it that I am not putting myself out there like I once did, but there are times that I have had to talk myself out from behind the reflection I thought people saw in me. I am very happily married, but I agree....it stings when the oohs and awes are always directed elsewhere.
  3. WOW!! that is fantastic! Keep, working hard, girl!

    Vsg In 3 Weeks, Baby!

Yea!!! Good deal! My Pre-op is the 16th, ENG on 17th, surgery on 18th. My doctor's office was great about getting all my appts back to back and has made hotel arrangements for me for the nights of Pre-op, since I live so far away. So far, I have been very impressed with the people working with me, which is reassuring, since I am nervous as a cat's back!
  9. I am a newbie. The hospital called today to confirm the details for my surgery on July 18th. Looking forward to a new me!!!
  10. I am also new to the forum and I am excited about my surgery for July 18th. The hospital called today to confirm the details and it has finally sunk in at my life is going to change....for the better! Congratulations on your successful surgery! I, too, started packing on the pounds after having my kids. I had a hysterectomy and then a thyroidectomy because of complications of Hoshimoto's Disease. After that, it is impossible for me to lose the weight. I seriously cannot remember te last time I felt full... It has been years! I am amazed by the number of people who cast judgments of professionalism based on weight. Trying to promote as a woman is hard enough, but an overweight woman.. Geeze!

    3 Weeks Until Vsg!

I am scheduled for the VSG on July 18th and cannot hardly wait to feel better in my own skin! However, my anxiety is growing as the days tick by and I will begin my Pre-op diet while we are on vacation (bummer)! I have tried several protein shakes and supplements thus far, so I would know what to pack for my vacation. We have a very limited supply of that kind of stuff where I live, so I have to purchase things like Isopure by mail. Just curious on what types/flavors of protein are good.
