  1. caffine free is probably safer. Since you are still healing, the acid can hurt pretty bad. I am still pre-op but i also had the lap band before. My surgery is this coming monday. Congratulations on your journey!
  2. You really have to go into this knowing that it is a complete lifestyle change. If you don't, there is a possibility that it could fail.
  3. Good for you! Congratulations! Stupid insurance companies....

Praying for you sweetie! No matter what the outcome, fight! Be a fighter and you tell that cancer who is boss! You CAN do this! Be strong! HUGS and LOTS of prayers!
  5. You will do GREAT!!!! It is definitely an emotional rollercoaster! Advice.... WALK! walk as much as you can after your surgery! It will help the air escape that they pump into your abdomen. If that air gets stuck, it hurts. Walk walk walk! Look forward to your healthier future and let go of your past. Another thing I learned... take pictures once a month. It helps with the mental images that sometimes you can get stuck with of being "heavy". I had the lab band before, and I struggled with those mental images of myself. Do not be afraid to go talk to someone about how you are feeling! Best of luck tomorrow! Congratulations on your journey! Let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel up to it!!!! HUGS!
  6. I am on day 4 of my pre-op and my surgery is Monday. I am doing a sugar free/clear liquid diet and protein shakes. No food at all However, I talked to my nutritionist today and she told me to drink one cup of coffee to ease the headaches. She also told me to drink tomato juice. I've lost 15 pounds since monday. Some days are much better than others that is for sure! I agree! we will survive this and come out on top! Best of luck!!!!!!!!
  7. It gets better! Walk as much as you can! My surgery is Monday. I had the lap band before and I walked as much as I could afterwards. It helps all that air escape and will take a lot of the pressure off! Congratulations on your surgery!!!!!!
  8. Just stopping in to see how you are doing today! I know this whole process can be frustrating! I've actually been through it before. It's so much different this time! Praying for you!!!
  9. You can absolutely do this! I am 5 days away from my surgery. I started a clear, sugar free liquid diet, plus 2 protein shakes a day on monday. I have already lost 11 pounds! You'll do great! As for the cold, i hope you feel better soon!
  10. I am so jealous your pre-op is only 3 days!! I've been drinking mostly water and sugar free hawaiin punch. If I have my protein shakes close together, my stomach ends up hurting. Your surgery is 1 week after mine! We should definitely keep in touch!!! Good Luck to you too!!!
  11. I am feeling exactly the same way you are! I am 4 days away from my surgery. I actually had the lap band before but it prolapsed so I had to have it removed and now I am starting all over again. I am probably more nervous now than I was before! I have been on a clear liquid diet since monday and am SOO hungry. I got my weight done at my preop nutrition last Thursday and since I started my liquid diet, I have lost 11 pounds in 3 days. Don't know how it happened but according to the scale...I have! Good luck with your journey!!!!
