1. I've learned with my workout routine if I go to the gym I get bored and quit before I should. every other day when my workout buddy and I walk our 4 miles we find a spot that we want to walk to for example we walked out of our city into another city...was only 4 miles but we did it and were proud! In two days we will find another spot and walk there. I'm 3 1/2 Weeks out of surgery and am amazed I can walk this far. Any other workout ideas to do that are not in a gym? 3. They have 15g per scoop so not as much as the others. I tried those can't tolerate the taste. both of them make me gag. The only thing I've been able to tolerate are the Atkins shakes. Id really like to find something else that I can tolerate since the Atkins are only 15g Protein. I've been getting my protein in with two cans of tuna a day and 2 Atkins shakes a day plus my Water and fruits lol...its amazing how addicted to labels I've become lol Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST

8. I've not had energy since surgery 6-25. I went to water aerobics today and when I got home I have felt like a could run a marathon i'm only 21 lbs down but feel like I did when I was a cheer leader in hs. Its an amazing feeling when you not only see your body change but when you feel healthy again. Best thing I could have ever done <3
9. They recommend 1-3 pounds a week.
10. Even after they do a leak test you must still worry. You can bust a staple from eating too early, coughing, all kinds if things for the first 6 Weeks. Once your surgeon puts you on solids I wouldn't worry about it but don't gorge yourself its very very painful I've done it by accident and it will make you think your stomach is gonna explode lol
11. I think its mental for me scared to over eat lol its happened and very unpleasant. I will eat half then wait and I feel full after the half but sometimes I can eat 3/4ths of it
12. Yes I eat the bars when i'm on the go the peanut butter ones are my fave but I can only fit half a bar right now. But the shakes texture is so smooth I drink 3 a day
13. Cures my chocolate cravings while getting my Protein in
14. Those types of fruits seem fine with me I love eating lemons and that's what I eat instead of chips and salsa when we eat at Mexican restraunts lol I had acid reflux pre op but haven't had issues yet (crossing fingers I don't in the future) but I know a lot of fruits are high in sugar like bananas so I worry lol
15. I was sleeved same day and my doc has me on solids but I can literally tolerate anything I eat I've healed quicker than normal and have got all my protein and fluids in since day 1.
16. Try vodka in crystal light heard its yummy and the only sugars you get are from the vodka.
17. I'm craving oranges and grapes lol
18. What is ok to eat and what to stay clear of?
19. Thanks everyone the kids are a lot they are 2, 4, & 5 and keep me on my toes. i'm finding it difficult to have the energy to even take them to the park. I walk my 3.5 miles around 9 pm cuz of the hot weather and it is tough to do but I know if I don't ill have a slower weightloss.
20. Thank you that's one thing I haven't eaten yet so I will start
21. Im down 20lbs since my surgery June 25, 2012. Still no energy and i'm getting in about 70-90 grams of protein. I feel lazy and just want to veg on the couch lol I have 3 small kids so i'm constantly in demand of taking care of them but get really frustrated cuz i'm so drained. I walk 3.5 miles every other night but that's all I have energy for. Any advice?
22. There is just a way to give advice and a way to judge. There are many judgmental people on here who get snappy at people who struggle. They know its wrong or they know it could hurt them that's why they post on this site. I think people should just answer the questions asked not scold people. I've been scolded on here and it didn't help me all I got were a bunch of people telling me a bunch of crap I already knew. my point is think before you speak. Having the sleeve makes no one on here an expert on everyone else. Advice is fine, informing or trying to teach is fine. But to belittle someone because they struggled and cheated is out of line and makes me not yup even want to use this forum.
23. No need to make someone who struggles feel even more ashamed than they already are. Its one think to give advice and another to judge. just because it was so easy for you to follow doesn't mean it is for everyone else. I was eating things I shouldn't on my liquid diet and I don't feel guilty. Your body will tell you what you need to know when you eat something you're not suppose to and you will go through the discomforts and learn what you can and cannot eat. I recommend staying with your diet and not cheat but I bet we are not the only ones who have cheated. Not many people will admit when they have cheated. But reading some of theses responses tick me off cuz it always turns in to omg I can't believe you would risk your life or omg you need counseling. Just cuz you had the sleeve does not make you an expert! Just sayin!
