  1. I was a major soda drinker preop. I gave it up 2 Weeks prior to surgery June 25th. Ive taken a sip of it last week and it tasted awful. I feel better and more energy than I ever have til I took that sip made me feel sluggish. my nut and doc said its safe to introduce carbonation 6 months out. there is no risk of harming your sleeve with carbonation they warn you away cuz of gas and discomfort. Good luck to you Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  2. I only get the nausea when I drink any of my Atkins shakes. I've always been able to tolerate them and I still can choke them down but about half way through it i'm nauseated...any advice? Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  3. Ahh I see. My doc said 3 Weeks before I can lift more than 15lbs. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  4. I have a 2, 4, and 5 year old. I needed help the first 2 days and after that I was able to do everything for them. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  5. At what point did y'all start wearing girdles? Or whatever you call them and do they help the extra skin permanently? Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  6. 2 Weeks after surgery I couldn't fit in anything lol it couldn't see the difference but others could. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  7. Some people that I told were like why get the surgery why not diet and exercise.....really hard to get someone who does not have a food addiction to understand. Its even harder to get someone who has never been obese to understand. I just tell people if I could stick to a diet I would...but I can't. Even today a month out of surgery I struggle. 8. I try to eyeball my food because I know my sleeve holds around 6 ounces of liquid and 3 ounces of solids. So if I eat scrambled eggs for Breakfast I cook only one egg and add cheese and its the perfect amount. I am going to be getting a scale to weigh my meat. I was and sometimes still over eat. I am hoping the scale helps me eyeball how much to eat better. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  9. If its causing you anxiety I would call your doc to be safe. I was in actual pain the first 4 days then I stopped my medication. After that I was sore another 2 Weeks...give yourself credit you've gone through major surgery and your body is not only recovering but its losing weight quickly....hope you feel better soon! 10. Ever since my surgery my left thigh has been numb. No pain just a tingly numb feeling...maybe my anti nausea shot caused this...but its been a month and its still numb. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  11. Each person is different. I'm 4 Weeks out and only down 22lbs. They say low bmi'ers lose slower. I have a lower bmi so I expected it. The slower you lose the less loose skin you will have that's how I stop myself from getting depressed Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  12. I had them one week post op...drink lots of Water and a cranberry pill a day us super good for kidneys and bladder. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  13. And you don't know who has or haven't had surgery out of the us. everyone is entitled to have and give their opinion including yourself Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  14. I don't think its anyones fault except the surgeons...fact of the matter is the surgeons in Mexico who deal with specifically weightloss surgery do not have many guidelines. its the surgeons job to make sure that we are fit for the surgery cuz its not for everyone. I feel there should be more guidelines than just being fat. Same thing goes for America. My dad was sleeved and was in icu for a month and was on his death bed 3 Weeks of that month and he was sleeved in America. **** happens no matter where you go. My point was do your research and if there are no guidelines for surgery to be aware. I see your point most of the best doctors in the world are not from America. Just be cautious and remember to research your physicians and ask people about there experiences and complication....I researched dr. rod before stating my opinion and no way do I recommend anyone going to him there should be 1 out of 100 complications for surgeons on this surgery not 1 out of 10. 15. I paid 20,000 for my surgery and have had an amazing recovery. I am sorry for what you experienced but let this be a lesson to those who want to not "go through loops" to have their surgery. There are reasons why insurance companies and doctors charge what they charge and have rules like they do. I researched my doctor plus he sleeved 2 people I know. Its horrible that your got treated this way. Is there a way to sue them? Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
  16. My husband does the same exact thing. He let me sleep in a few mornings ago and I woke up to all of my kids eating my Protein bars which are 12.00 for 4! Hubby was too lazy to make them something. we go through crystal light like crazy I don't mind it tho cuz the kids think its kool aid so its much healthier for them. I just pack my high protein supplements in my closet so that they don't get eaten so quickly. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
