I am going with Dr. Ortiz. I have never heard anything bad about him. His cost is exactly $8500. In fact I hear that his center is better than anything in the US. Stacy

I worry too. Not about that and I can't help you because I have not been banded yet. I worry that I will not lose enough weight on the pre-op diet and be postponed. Has this happend to anyone? Stacy:hungry:

I do live in San Diego. I live about 10 minutes from the clinic in TJ. Since Feb. 16th I've lost 15lbs. I need to lose about 140 more. I will be in TJ until the 18th. I just finished paying the balance and I'm so excited!:teeth: Where are you coming from? Keep in touch. Stacy Stacy

Hi I am supposed to get my surgery on March 16th by Dr. Ortiz. My problem is I am paying by credit card and Paypal won't let me send more than $2000. Has anyone had a similar problem. I am stressing out really bad. Please help. Anyone that has used Dr. Ortiz?:help: Stacy

I am new also. I am getting banded on March 16th. I have been overweight for about 15 years and I am kinda scared to be thin again. I am excited at the same time, but it will change my life forever. I am going with Dr. Ortiz in Mexico. Seems like the right thing to do since I am only about 10 minutes from the clinic. I am also afraid I will fail at losing weight even with the band. Stacy
