  1. Doctors should be very specific. There are tons of loopholes lol Like a very tender T-bone steak hehe People are always pushing the limits
  2. More and more I am seeing patients post op coming here for help because they received nothing as guidelines or must pay for them and can't afford the cost. This is just horrible. Edit: sorry I know this was off topic.
  3. Yay Phoenix79!!! Congrats and welcome to VST!
  4. Hehehe Do you mean psych eval?
  5. You should just call your doctor and make an appt. no need to go to the ER for cold symptoms. You will end up waiting there forever. You can take cold medicines and cough medicines. Keep up with your water and drink some chicken broth or chicken soup. Get some rest and hope you start feeling better soon!
  6. The worst pain for me was the surgical gas... It was like a constant unrelenting labor contraction... I'm so sorry your hurting but walk walk walk... It will go away it just takes several days of moving
  7. Sounds like the vagus nerve. I would do some research on that and ask your cardiologist about it.
  8. Yay Tami! Welcome home
  9. What was the name of the dr you thought you were having? Like who was it you researched and booked with (drs. name) when you went to Tijuana ?
  10. Yes, it lasted 7 days-__- Only thing that moves it out is moving our bodies Take your pain med and start walking walking walking
  11. I've never heard chicken hawk until you said it Laura lol Love it haha
  12. 7 months and no carbs? Time to start eating a normal balanced diet... Your body is probably in shock without carbs for so long At 7 months out you can eat a well balanced diet and with the restriction you will lose weight.
  13. Plenty of pillows and a path to walk every hour
  14. The bariatric Vitamins taste horrible I take flinstone complete chewables Even those aren't very good
  15. Are you cleared to eat an apple skin and all at 4 weeks post op? Did your dr. friend not question you eating an apple at only 4 weeks?
  16. It is also suggested to drink a little meat tenderizer for the same reason but I am not sure how much or how you drink it. My post op notebook says to drink pineapple juice and call the dr if you are not better by day 3 or call if you get worse and not better. Please don't be worried... This is not a common problem... Most people's bodies work it out. It's just hard during that time.
  17. I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. It's just information new sleevers need to know Don't worry too much, lots of people have eaten things like this too soon and they have been ok. It is just something that can pose a problem. It helps with digestion. Try it and hopefully that will help
  18. Things like the lil crumbly black spices in the pastrami can take a while to digest. It can irritate and inflame your staple line... It is best to avoid all foods with things like that strawberries included even fibrous foods like celery can be bad. Try drinking some pineapple juice and see if you aren't feeling better by tomorrow. If you get worse, you'll need to call your surgeon because a tiny piece can get stuck and cause lots of pain/nausea etc
  19. Did the pastrami have any hard pieces in it?
  20. Looking great Holly!!! I know you are still struggling and all the suffering is still vivid but I pray with time you will be able to find the positive that matches your positive personality. Everyone who has endured these complications is so strong...probably even stronger than they ever imagined they could be...
