  3. Why am I scared to click on Dean's link lol
  4. Unfortunately it is not very quickly that one is aware of a leak... Even doctors do not discover the leak for some time in many cases. It's scary and leaks do horrible damage during the time they are left untreated.
  5. Lol booty called lmao
  6. I'm increasing my carb intake with lots of raw vegetable snacks and juicing... I still eat protein as my main food but if I stayed doing that I was still dropping sometimes 2-3 pounds a week... I have slowed it down by eatting lots and lots of veggies... I want to stay around 125 so if I drop lower than that then I eat peanut butter, some ham stuff like that and it seems to help. During my losing phase I did grilled chicken, shrimp, fish mostly lean meats and lettuce wraps... I did yogurt so that was carbs but I ate it as breakfast and it didn't seem to stall my weight loss ... When I get in a lot of water and eat just lean proteins I lose the best I hope this helps... Don't give up hope... Some months are better than others... It took me forever (it felt like) to get below 150's but it happened... Yours will too!!!
  7. I'm nine months out and still losing... I've had to increase my carbs and amount of my intake to slow the lose. But I had tons of months where I had hardly any weight loss... It's always changing Seems like the 8th and 9th month the weight is coming off easier
  8. I didn't have localized pain but I had fatigue and all over body aches for about 8 weeks post op
  9. Are you losing just the hair on your head? What about your eye brows? If it includes your eyelashes and eye brows it could be something a specialist needs to address but honestly I think a lot of people go thru this... I've had to cut my hair into a very short pixie cut ( think Anne Hathaway lately) that short... I had extremely long thick curly hair... It is now thin and scarce... The good news is at 9 months my hair dresser is seeing little sprouts of new hair all over my head. Hang in there!!! I know it's scary
  10. What type of setting is the other doctor doing surgery in if not a hospital? Is it an OR with access to blood and anything else that may be required if the surgery leads to blood loss?
  11. Congratulations!!! What a blessing!!
  12. Nate, are you holding down everything else just not the protein drinks?
  13. I've used premier. I actually tasted my first premier protein shake from the nurse at my surgeons office.
  14. Never tried it with garlic powder but yum that sounds good!! Going to try it... I LOVE guacamole
  15. Ah ok I didn't know where you were post op... I can't see profiles from my phone. Sorry I couldn't be of any help. Hope you start feeling better soon and find something that works.
  16. Some people do better than others, but 4 weeks is still very very early. Keep taking your PPI because we need that for the first 6 months even if we never have symptoms.
  17. When the body smells like ammonia the first concern is liver function. I would talk with your doctor about it and see if he will run labs on you.
  18. Woohoo tex mex yummmmm
  19. Your still healing from having 85% of your stomach cut off... This is not permanent but it does take a lil while to heal. Just be kind to your body while it recovers. It's not forever, promise.
  20. Are you post-op? How far out? Have you tried premier Protein shakes? Also if you're out far enough you can add it to some warm coffee.
  21. Jeanette, it is a scary place, I'm glad you're better. Laura is the best <3
  22. Take care of yourself Sannah Please go to ER if you feel worse. You're in my prayers!
