  1. Queen of Crop started following VSGJean
  2. How exciting for you!! I started my liquid diet today. My surgery is on the 21. Follow my journey on Youtube, VSGJean.
  3. What is Peppermint oil and where would I find it? I bought the Gas-X strips today. I always have chapstick. I will definitively look into the Biotin. If I take a heating pad, will an America plug work in Mexico or would I need an adapter like you would if you went to Europe?
  4. I start mine on Friday. I have to do a 2 week diet. Not looking forward to it, but I will do what I have to do. Follow my journey on Youtube, VSGJean.
  5. Thanks, I've been looking for a thread, just haven't found one, yet.
  6. What do I need to bring with me to Mexico? I know I need Gas-X strips, but I haven't been able to find it in the strips. Any advise would be most appreciated and if you can add where you found the products too, that would be great.
  7. I'm having my surgery September 21 in Mexico. My insurance won't cover ANY weight-loss. I've done most of my research from watching youtube and using this website. I start my liquid diet on the 7th, not looking forward to that, but I will do what I have to do. Follow me journey on Youtube, VSGJean.
  8. I'm sorry that your co-worker said that to you. It's not a "lazy" persons easy way out. I've been skinny and I've been overweight. I've never been this overweight. You will do great with your sleeve!! It's a tool, just like a gym... Some people need more tools
  9. OTR Sleever, Thanks for making those points. I had started to take notice of the complaints. I'm excited about my upcoming surgery in September
  10. I've heard of people going without their passport and got fussed at by the border control. Who wants to be fussed at by an authority figure? Plus when I have to have reconstructive surgery, most likely will have that out of the country too.
  11. No, I had to apply for mine. I went on-line to UPSP and filled out the app on-line, printed it. Went to Rite-aid for my pics. You have to make an appointment at your Post office ( didn't and it took me 2 days). The website will tell you which post office actually does passports. They say it takes 4 to 6 weeks, so get on it.
  12. Sorry, I don't know why my last paragraph shrank. I'm a healthy person, except that I'm fat!! I do well with surgery, so I'm not worried. I was going to go by myself, but my best friend won't let me.. LOL So now she is tagging along :-) I can't wait!!!
  13. I had to pay a deposit. It's to schedule that date for YOU!! Anyone can say "yeah, I what to have my surgery on such and such date", then decide to go to a different doctor in a different town on a different date. I'm going through A Lighter Me, my coordinator is Ronda. She is really good about returning your e-mails and I've talked to her a few times on the phone. I'm a healthy person, except that I'm fat!! I do well with surgery, so I'm not worried. I was going to go by myself, but my best friend won't let me.. LOL So now she is tagging along :-) I can't wait!!!
  14. I'm scheduled for surgery on September 21st in Puerto Vallarta. I've asked several people on Youtube who have had their surgery in Mexico about how they felt about their safety. Not one has said they felt unsafe. Of course you are concerned about it, so am I. I now have no fears about going.
  15. I actually lost weight in college, but my dorm was on the outskirts of campus so I had to walk/run everywhere. Food can be a problem in college. Just try to eat like you are suppose too and I think you will do fine. Find new "comfort" foods that are healthy for you.
  16. My husband is super excited that I'm going to have VSG surgery. I've gain a lot of weight since we got married, mostly because I quit smoking. My husband has lost about 40 pounds after he was diagnosed with diabetes. I want to wear pretty dress and feel comfortable in what I wear, which of course he does too. I haven't noticed any anxiety from him, but I still have about 2 months until my surgery.
