I weighed this morning and I have officially lost 100lbs!!! Unbelievable! I still have 85lbs to go for goal and 50 to make it to Onderland! I do feel like the next 50-85 is just gravy! I'm so happy and can't even explain how much my life, my attitude, everything has changed. I LOVE myself again! I wasn't sure I'd ever get back to being happy with myself, because I was so disappointed in how far gone I had gotten. This is 100% the best thing I ever did for myself, my kids, my friends, my family, my job, MY LIFE!!!!

I'm 4 days out and the 4th day seems to be the magic number day . The only real "problem" I had was the narcotic pain meds in hospital made me so nauseous that I didn't have an ounce of anything for the first 24 hours. once the dr. Switched the meds I went home and yes, uncomfortable and sore, your tummy is very bloated and keep in mind you've had surgery! . It did take me until today to be able to get fluids down without pain...it's not like it's pain that you (or at least me) cry about, you just feel it, wait a few mins and try again. I was struggling to get fluids down and then All of a sudden this afternoon it doesnt bother me at all anymore... I
I've slept good every night I've been home and I have taken the prescribed Tylenol with codine so I can sleep comfortably. I look forward to sleeping on my side soon . I also had a hernia repaired so not sure if that has anything to do with the delay in getting liquid down comfortably.
I think the biggest thing to remember is that it is surgery, there is going to be some pain/uncomfort or even things you haven't felt before. this is the first surgery I've ever had so a lot of unknowns for me. I've been very patient with myself and truly giving my body the rest it needs. . I hope you are able to do the same and have the best experience possible. Good luck!

I'm only 3 months out, down 74 lbs., besides the weight loss and restriction in eating, I'd swear I never had the surgery! That's how little "side effects" I've had. I'm not sure there would be any reason you would need the extra stomach back?...all that extra did was hold more food so we could stuff ourselves! . My decision for the sleeve was because it did not "re-route" the digestion process which I believe is why we sleevers typically recover well and quickly. But of course there can be risk an complications with any surgery. Best of luck!

I couldn't agree more with SML1997!!! I'm a girl that LOVES going to sporting events, football, basketball and I want to buy season tickets..or at least go to a few games.. but never do cause I know I will be uncomfortable! I'm looking forward to just start living again...i feel like I've become almost anti-social and just dont get out and do as much anymore...I'm down right embarrassed of how I look. I used to be an athlete!!!...wouldn't know it by looking at me now, but that's who I still am inside and I can't wait for those two to match again! I also LOVE music and can't wait to go to a concert again or my fav - Jazz Festival...they have those tiny little folding seats...which I now avoid at all cost :/. Oh and the beach is a big one...considering I see it from my backyard but NEVER go anymore..I sit out and just dream of throwing on a pair of shorts and riding down, meeting friends and riding my bike back up the hill to home, ....it will happen!!!
I'm looking forward to being ME again! .

June sleeve almost 5 months out lost 108 lbs no medical problem i am glad i did it.also playing hockey again

So for the last week I've been in the process of moving....packing the old place, cleaning, movers, unpacking at new place. Anyway, my family helped me pack and my sister packed my scale over a week ago. at first I was irritated because I weighed at least every other day....and then without it, I started to like it. I felt like I've been losing again (had a stall for over a week) and feeling like with all the packing, lifting, etc., I felt like I was getting in extra exercise.
So yesterday I caught myself in a full length mirror and I stopped and did a double take...is that me?!? No, wait a minute where am I? ...am I really seeing what I'm seeing? No, this must be one of those stretch mirrors. Yep, that's me. Wow my legs are looking a lot smaller. Wow I'm starting to look kinda good. Seriously, these are all the thoughts that went thru my was in a matter of seconds.

Just want to share with everyone Power Crunch bars....maybe they are under the food section but I didn't find it in my search anyway....I can't beliee I have forgotten about these until today! My fav is Peanut Butter crunch but I know they also come in other flavors. Anyway 200 cal, 5 fat, 10 carbs and 13g protien....and the best part is that they are SOOOOOO good, nice and soft wafers so it's melts easily and goes down easy
They sell them pretty much everywhere here in CA....7-11, grocery store, costco in bulk....

I am so overjoyed to see 299 on the scale this morning! This might sound funny, but it finally seems real! 51 pounds is alot of weight but when you're 350 pounds and every time you step on the scale you're still in the 300's, it just seems like it's going to take forever! I'm so excited to see the scale starting with a 2!!!!! SO EXCITED!
