Ok, im scared now!! I'm done with my 6 months and waiting for approval! ! Your the first person I have heard talk about memory??? That's really scary!! ! After my grandma had open heart surgery it was very noticeable she had memory loss and in her late 70's she went into dementia really quick;( it's the length of open heart and being under anesthesia that long. So how bad has it been? Has it come back??? Is it noticeable to family and friends???? I will be 47 next week!

I haven't had surgery yet but this worries me! This is my problem also. It bothers my stomach now!!!! It's the fake sugar subsatutes. Crystal lite bothers me as soon as I take a drink my stomach goes crazy! It happens to my kids also! The lactos free milk doesnt work for me either. My Dr. Said its the sugars in the milk that cause it for some people. So this will be something i will be going through too! Help us gassy people... Please!!! Lol!!!

If you can have stevia... I squeeze fresh lemon juice in a large cup of ice water and a 1 1/2 pks of stevia it's my lemon aid;)

That is good news!! Thank you! I'm waiting for insurance, should be any day! I love that we have all this support! I have a friend that had her VSG June 2011 made it to her goal of 90 lbs lost June 2012. She looks wonderful!!! She was the model patient, came home after surgery only took pain meds the first couple days home. Then healed great, stayed on the diet perfectly, walked daily and she looks beautiful!! She is the one that recommended I switch from the band to VSG. We even have the same insurance and the same surgan. We are in the Sacramento CA area. So fingers crossed I will have the same great story and outcome!!! One mistake I made was going on the complication forum.... Scary!!! Now I'm starting to second guess my disition. From the gallbladder problems to the leaks. So I will talk to my Doctor, I wanted to know the percentage of people that have any of these complications. These numbers that you posted have really helped me!!! :-) thanks!!!!

Just finished my 6 month class, I have been recommended for surgery but still have to wait for insurance. They are telling me two weeks. With my calculation I'm thinking it will be beginning of October. Is Disneyland for Thanksgiving week realistic? I would love some feedback... Thanks so much!!!
