  1. I noticed a slight increase too, and I'll be seven weeks out next Monday. The funny thing is Today I thought "oh my gosh I pigged out!" - because I was so full - and then I looked at my friends plate and that put things into perspective for me. I'm actually only eating a few bites more than I was lol. It also depends on what I'm eating. I can eat a bit more of soft beans or soup Than say chicken, fish or beef.
  2. Hated all flavors but drank them religiously first two weeks as per my doctors orders. Second week I cut them with crystal light...MUCH better. They're too expensive for me for day to day. A little over $5 a piece at GNC although I haven't shopped around and they may be cheaper elsewhere....
  3. Chike (28 grams protein) which I mix with Lactose free high protein milk (another 12 grams protein). Love all the flavors!
  4. I didn't like any of them, but I just kept telling myself, it's just for one week - you can do this :-) and as mentioned before you can cut it with crystal light or G2 even...
  5. Ok that one got me teary eyed. Congrats and enjoy!
  6. I got the isopure at GNC...none of them taste great but the orange was the easiest to tolerate - I had to do one, 1oz sip every ten minutes. Tastes like Gatorade with absolutely no sweetener. I had my sleeve on July 15th, I'm on mushies and two weeks from solid foods. Double check with your Dr on the isopure as all Dr.s differ. Hope you feel better soon. Sip, sip, sip!
  7. Sorry....stupid iPad sen it early....anyhow as always check with your Dr.!
  8. Hi and welcome! I was weak and lightheaded too and it eas because I was dehydrated. I increased my fluids but my dr. Had me doing a clear protein (isopure) and that helped....but as always
  9. I travel a lot for work overseas. I will usually pack a few pre mixed shakes in my suitcase that I check (in case I have trouble with reliable water or milk which has only happened once or twice), and then I pre measure protein powder into snack size zip lock baggies (2 scoops each) and put those baggies in my shaker bottle, my purse and my suitcase - just to be safe in case my suitcase goes missing :-)
  10. I love theirs and it's like 20 grams
  11. I LOVE the Chike too, the banana is awesome :-)
  12. I love he Chike protein powder (28 grams in 2 scoops), the banana is awesome and I don't even like bananas. I mix it with one cup of fat free high protein milk, equals 40 grams total.
  13. That's great! I can't wait....I hate going to lunch with co workers or friends and they give each other the "who's going to get stuck sitting on the side with the fat lady" look.
  14. I had the same problem after gallbladder surgery, my pants kept rubbing on my belly button and I ended up with a skin infection and a round of antibiotics. Definitely call your Dr and be careful! I had surgery on the 15th and am back to the office tomorrow. I'm more worried about my back hurting than anything
  15. Welcome! This is the place that really helped me feel like I was making a really well informed decision, you'll like it here :-)
  16. Just a check in...how's everyone feeling? Last to days were the first ones where I felt human. Slept all night and did it nap! My goal today - no Tylenol :-)
  17. This is awesome - very inspiring....i got a few tears over this one too, every il wants to feel beautiful and you nailed it :-)
  18. I'm confused by this as well...everything I've read says protein protein protein...then at my one week post op check up where I was cleared for pureed my NUT tells me I can basically eat whatever my family is eating as long as there is protein blended in as well and not to worry too much about carbs because I've got to get my calorie intake up much higher. Sauces, gravies, whatever is needed to thin the food out is ok and not to worry about low fat etc until later when I'm on mushies. This sounds o wrong o me, I'm scared he's setting me up for failure and bad habits in the long run. Now I'm at a loss or what to do (or eat!)...
  19. I wish you the very best...stay positive and you'll do grea!
  20. Aside from looking awesome and skinny, you look healthy and happy! Thanks for sharing, this is just the inspiration I needed today (6 days post op with a raging headache and cranky). I've also read a lot of your posts - always down to earth, helpful and positive, please know they are appreciated. Congratulations!
  21. I didn't use either, the most relief and comfort I got in the hospital was from walking. I have used a heating bad since I've been home as my incisions are a bit more tender now - but it didn't do much for me.
