It's finally here, surgery day. I have to be at the hospital @ 4:30 am & they say they will start @ 6:30. I'm so nervous. But ready to get this over with...

2 more days then the beginning of my new life starts.

It was better than i thought. I wake up sleepy as heck. When i got hone slept for 6 hours straight.

Birdy18 I started on Monday the 23rd. What did you cheat with?? A small bag of hot chips & 2 sugar free lemon slices. Keep going you can do it! Were the headaches awful?? Yes I will 5 days to go. I haven't had any headaches.

Izuri Thank you, for the encouraging words. I do have an old picture of me up when i was in high school & a size 6 blue jeans that were my favorite 15 years old. & yes ma'am no more cheating 6 days left till surgery.....

I'm on my 9th day of my liquid diet before surgery.... & it kills me to say I cheated. I cheated three times I cheated the 3rd day I cheated the 4th day & the 5th day, but not since then. I pray I didn't jeopardize my surgery. & my husband is sitting directly in front of me eating a grill chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce that's smells oh so yummy

Does anyone know if we can have gatorade on a pre -op diet? I feel alittle dehydrated & I'm not big on water. Please help me someone?

An EGD is endoscope is a long, flexible tube about the size of your little finger. During the procedure, you are sedated and the EGD scope is passed through the mouth and back of the throat into the upper digestive tract, allowing the physician to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (the first portion of the small intestine). My doctor, Dr. Kim told me I had to get this done before surgery.

Thank you all for the encouragement & reassuring me I can do this. I'm going to stay focus from now on.

I am mad at myself, I cheated & on the 5th day I still have 10 days left before my surgery grrrr. I'm so stupid.

2 Lissa: Lol, at Lissa I maybe the same way, because I have a lot of stretch marks. So when I get smaller I'm still gonna have those on my stomach, huh?

2 Klaaspice OMG, really even after 4 days that's awesome. I keep telling myself that: for my health, kids (to be able to run around & play with them as much as I can without getting tired within 5 minutes), physical limitations. Yes ma'am I will stay positive from now on.

To Slenderella I'm doing ok right now. How did you do today on your 2nd day? I got hungry a few times as well. Drinking water or broth satisfied me too. Two days down.

My husband told me the exact same thing you are saying. I'm trying. Thanks for the positive feedback. It's just hard sometimes wondering if I'm really doing the right thing here.
