  1. Got my approval from my insurance company today and I am going to be banded September 7th! I am a little nervous about starting the preop diet. I have a foster home and have 12 kids to care for and am worried about being too weak or grumpy for them. Any suggestions on how to prepare mentally for it? THanks!
  2. I work in a residential group home with 12 children. I am just planning on taking a week off and hopefully will avoid too much heavy lifting.
  3. According to my information, once my insurance approves my surgery, Dr. Stevenson is supposed to do my lap band surgery in Phoenix. Anyone have any experience with him? TIA!
  4. Hi all! I have finally finished jumping through insurance hoops and am just waiting for approval to get my band. I was wondering what your experiences are with recovery time? I was planning on taking a week off(which is all I can manage). I am a house parent in a group home and I currently care for 12 children. I can pretty much refrain from picking up some of my kiddos and hoisting my bod up into a big huge van but I am worried that I will jar something loose. Am I being too unrealistic? Thanks in advance!
