- First Fill
I just scheduled my first fill for July 30th. I'm excited. I'm hoping for some restriction, but I'm not expecting any. I need to NOT be hungry between meals. My nutritionist does not want me eating between meals. It is very difficult to get 60 - 80 g of Protein in 3 meals/day. Any suggestions?- Any Experiences With Louisiana Weight Loss Surgery In Baton Rouge?
I love Dr. Hargroder! He's great!- Seafood...
I had baked catfish last night for dinner and it was DELIGHTFUL! I've also had shrimp. No problems.- Coffee/tea
I just went back to coffee at 3 weeks post op. I was drinking decaf tea at home, but I can't do decaf coffee. I usually have one cup of coffee in the morning, then at home I drink regular tea with splenda. Usually at work I have some tea flavored something in my Water (I dislike plain water SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH).- Scrambled Eggs
I do not have any trouble with scrambled eggs. I have them most mornings to jump start the protein in the morning. I usually have 2% cheese on them as well. I know most foods will be a trial and error thing until I know what I can and cannot eat. I am 2 days short of a month post banding.- Today I Am Taking Control!!!
I'm released to exercise on Monday. I have been walking on the treadmill. And using the elliptical. I'm ready to do some "real" workouts. Check with your surgeon to be sure.- Lapband Restaurant Card
My surgeon and I had that conversation just Monday when I went for my followup. He said he could give me one, but that the choices on most kid's menus were horrible food choices. I decided not to get it.- Superstar!
WOW! You really are a superstar! Congratulations!- Banded 21 June
I'm getting there myself. I saw the Dr. Monday and he asked me if I was staying satisfied, and as of Monday, I was...It's amazing what 2 days will do. I was ravenous yesterday. I kept it in check by drinking lots of water. I'm staying within the caloric limits I have set, but WOW...yesterday I could have eaten "the brass horns off a billy goat!" If I feel like I can't handle this, I will contact the surgeon. My first fill is not for another month. ETA--I was banded June 19th- Who Wants To Join Me?
I use my fitness pal. I really like it. It has a scanner option as well. I've had to use it a few times in the last week. Continued success on everyone's journey!- Today I Am Taking Control!!!
GOOD FOR YOU! It makes me smile to see someone start their new path with a great attitude! You can do this! The hard part is done.- Lost A Person From Our Family
What a wonderful outcome to your journey! It's great that everyone is participating and getting healthy! Congratulations to you ALL!- Wheres My June Bandsters??
I'm still just walking and riding the bike. I can't wait to get back to my Power90. I still have weights restrictions for another week and a half.- Vitamins???
I take gummies everyday. I have no trouble with them at all. I chew them very well before swallowing. I was banded 6/19- Before

It's ridiculous that so many people who are trying to take control of their lives and make themselves healthier have to FIGHT with insurance companies to get it covered. It's almost as it they'd rather pay for the HBP meds, diabetic supplies, knee/hip replacements. It's just crazy. I'm glad you both got approved and are on the way to more healthy versions of yourselves. CONGRATS!- What Vitamins Do You Take Now?
NO problem, and congrats on being banded!- What Vitamins Do You Take Now?
I was told to start the multi Vitamin 2x a day, sublingual B12 the day after surgery and my calcium begins 1month after surgery. Jut ask your surgeon.- I Am Officially Banded As Of Today!!!!
Congratulations! Today marks 15 days post op for me...it only gets better the farther down the road you go. I never had shoulder pain and not a lot of gas pains...I guess I was lucky that way...hopefully you will be too. Keep walking and drinking your liquids.- Dairy
I have been drinking hot tea in the mornings to "fake" the coffee ritual. I love my decaf teas, but they are not coffee. LOL- Dairy
I'm jealous Cazzy. I am caffiene free for another 2 weeks. My body needs coffee. I've also been drinking decaf iced tea. That doesn't bother me as much as it is the flavor of the tea that I like, but I really MISS my coffee.- Dairy
My surgeon allows Cottage Cheese in full liquids, but check with your Dr/Nutritionist to be sure.- Dairy
I was only dairy free the first 2 days. Check with your Dr. - First Fill
