  1. I don't get how people can risk everything with eating eggs and having sex now. I wouldn't dream of taking those chances. I get that you're referring to me... But I don't think you understand that not everyone's experience is the same. I'm almost a week out and it says on my discharge papers I can have eggs. It says to resume sexually activity as desired, I was asking when people were successful at it, doesn't mean I'm riding 24/7. Yes I would love to resume sexually activity but am cautious. As far as eggs, I tried it, big whoop. It says I may have them. I'm sorry that your Experience has not been well, alls you can do is stay strong, and when you're ready you can have eggs and sex too! Lol
  2. I can't lie I had an over easy egg this morning, it was amazingly delicious and I didn't finish. I took my time and chewed slow and was full quickly. It was like the most amazing thing I ever tasted. I am so over shakes already, waters easy, but I miss chewing food!
  3. Mine was done the 7th, I'm down 10 lbs, 30 lbs total with pre op diet. I feel good, I'm dealing with some kind of emotional food missing drama, but overall am getting my fluids in and am excited to meet with the nutritionist tomorrow and hopefully get cleared for sme puréed foods and what not. Congrats everyone! I'm doing fine pain wise, and I'm not hungry, but being around food makes me pretty tempted. Good luck!
  4. 5 days post op, nothing yet. I'm getting nervous!
  5. Thanks for the update. We had surgery the same day, around the same time, sounds like we're mostly going through the same things. Cheers to us getting skinny!!
  6. I've had my mirena since we had my daughter 15 months ago, if I haven't gotten pregnant yet, then I think we're fine. I've done a lot more crazy things sexually before this sleeve that'd be not willing to try so quickly post op, so I think we're okay. But you're right, people can still get prego, everything's only 99.9% effective. Besides abstinence! And that's NOT my style! Lmao
  7. Thanks for this post! We're surgery sisters! I'm missing food! But following everything strictly. IM down 10 lbs since the 7th, how about you??
  8. Congrats! I'm 5 days out, feeling well. I'm glad your recovery sounds perfect! Emotionally missing food has been hard for me, but with a total of 30 lbs down with pre op diet and post op, I've got my eyes set on the future! Can't wait for some puréed yumminess. Glad all is well! Stay strong and hydrated!!
  9. Well, no skinny sex yet! Not even chubby sex.. Lmao. Still healing, I'm down 10 lbs since surgery on the 7th and a total of 30 with pre op diet. I'm doing well, struggling emotionally with the no eating thing, watching my fiancé and daughter have some delicious dinner, but I'm surviving. This has been the hardest part for me. Still sore, still a little gassy, but walking, sipping, taking my vitamins and looking forward to the skinny future!!!!
  10. Thanks, I'm not too worried about pregnancy, I have the mirena IUD, and a 1 year old.... That's enough birth control for me! Lol. And if I did get prego, I would take it as a beautiful and wonderful thing! People have gotten pregnant quickly, our bodies can do amazing things
  11. You guys are awesome! Thanks. I can't wait for skinny sex! I down 30 including my pre op diet... So I'm getting there. I wish I could stop weighing myself! I've become obsessed!!
  12. Oh he could wait, I'm the one who can't! We've been together 7 years and we are still insanely crazy for each other! I guess it's true love! I'm thinking I'll wait a few more days.. Then I won't feel so crazy.
  13. IM only 5 days post op... But when is a good time to just do it? I feel like we could but I'm scared, I'm not a good judge of that subject considering we didn't wait very long to do the deed after our daughter. I looked through all my paperwork, all the docs notes just say when you're ready, but... I'm ready! Just frightened. Still pretty sore!
  14. I'm with ya! 5 days out!! Walking a lot helps.. But I'm nervous this is a forever thing
  15. Are you keeping on your b 12 vitamins??
  16. Thanks for this post. I'm 4 days out, getting used to my sleeve, but this post made me feel very good this morning as I'm choking back my protein shake. Thanks so much!!!
  17. I'm still full of gas! I know it's mostly from the swelling, my hiatal hernia was pretty bad so I know I have a ton of swelling at the top of my new stomach. But every time I take a sip of water, or my shake I feel like I'm burping forever! When does it stop?
  18. I had fingernail polish on, they said just no blue or black.
  19. My drain was on the right side. It's just uncomfortable, not too painful. Don't stress! Just being honest!
  20. Got mine the 7 th. Doc is not a fan of gasX. So I can't use it, ive been walking like a maniac and it's finally passing. Good luck! Stay hydrated!
  21. 1) skinny sex. 2) run a 5k. 3) wear a bikini 4) keep up with my 15 month old daughter 5) be a skinn bride, wedding is scheduled for nov. 2013 6) have my man pick me up and carry me. 7) sky dive. 8) amusement parks 9) fit better in the seas a Fenway. 10) did I mention skinny sex? Woo hoo! I was just sleeved 2 days ago
  22. Just had my sleeve on the 7th. No cathedar. I was close to getting one, since I had a hard time peeng, but once they switched me off the morphine, I was fine to go by myself, and woke up every 45 minutes ( so obnoxious I almost wanted the cathedar!) I ended up staying both nights, it was hard knowing my 1 year old was at home, I missed her so much!!! The worst part for me has been the trapped gas and getting the drain out this mornng, yuck! But I'm doing fantastic, drinking well, have yet to get sick, taking it slow. Can't wait to find out how much weight I've lost already. I'm pretty swollen.
  23. Do you burp a lot when you drink anything? I have a lot of gas that I can't seem to shake,
  24. Honestly, my drink was gross! It was the worst tasting lemonade ever. And it was hard for me because my surgeon also fixed my hiatal hernia and the liquid could get through... But it turns out all is well and I just got the clear for phase 2 liquid diet, woo hoo! Can't wait for m skinny days to come!! good luck everyone!!! I've been up walking, doing stairs, and everything. They kept me one more night, but I'm totally cool with it. Take care!
