    Hi, I am on Wellbrtrin SR can not cut it because it will not work as it is suppose to. I was able to get in down with a sip of Water. Good luck, talk to your pharamasist, they are usually good at recommending what to do.:thumbdown:

    My little victory today was I walked the Zoo the memorials and the museums. 2 months ago I wouldnt have been able to do it.

    Thrift stores are amazing and great way to find smaller clothes. I also shop off season. I can usually find sweaters for about $5 and summer clothes in the winter for $2. I have friends who have lost alot so she is giving me clothes as I get smaller.

    I have been fat my whole life and always hated scales, but today, if I could've hugged my scale I would have.
    As of today, I have officially lost 100 pounds since being banded 5 months ago.
    I know I still have a long ways to go, but finally hitting that 100 pound loss mark has made me so happy!!!!
    I seriously love my band. It is the BEST thing I've ever done for myself. It's changed my life!!!

    I agree..... just don't use them. If they give you such a bad reaction that you are needing to lay in bed or just can't be as active they aren't worth it. If you absolutly have to sweeten something use sugar.
    You will in a much better position to burn it off if you don't have such a bad headache.

    I am ready. june 11th is my day. it can't get here fast enough. I love the weight I am loosing. One week from surgery and 12 lbs down.

    I have been trying to keep myself busy. those moments rught before bed are the worst. I keep asking myself what if you fail. what are some ways you guys are finding to keep calm.

    my sugery is 10 days away and only a handful of people know. the ones I have told are not very supportive. I feel alone often but I will be at my meetings faithfully and take solace with other band patients.

    WOW the truth hurts dosen't it? LOL... I am a single working (Mon-Fri 8-5) mother of two, an 8 yr old and a 2yr old. But I get up every morning at 4am and do 4-5 miles of cardio (1hr) and sometimes even strength training. It's the only time when my children are asleep and I have time to myself. Why??? Because I know I wont be able to fit it in at the end of the day. I'm too tired..but I also know that a good cardio workout in the morning will give my slow metabolism a extra boost for the day, it will help tone my body and the green tea I drink before my workouts puts me in a better mood and gives me a little extra energy to deal with my daily duties. Do I love it?? Not really but I will admit I do like how I feel after a workout. I do love the way sweat helps release negative toxins and feelings. and I also love a good stretch in the morning. I guess what I'm saying is you may not love it but it works, it's important, and your grown to like it if you find a program that you enjoy.
    At the same time I want to stress..don't beat eachother up. This is a lifestyle change and for some it harder than for others. If you haven't been working out to help out your band, today is a new day and it not too late.... To the OP every pound is a success 30 pounds is not bad maybe they could have lost more in a year.. maybe not. Anyone who has lost 30 pounds is 30 polunds healthier in my book.

    My bestfriend is going through Kaiser.I think this is about money.from my understanding Although kaiser offers Lapband they actually contract the service out if u chose it so they lose money.the bypass and sleeve is done in house by kaiser so they save money. For an unbiased opinion try looking at the charts on trueresults.com.they outline each procedure risks and benefits.

    I know this is a really tough decision no matter what u chose.But it's up to u to make the choice that's right for u.one thing I want to touch on is, u said that their are many cases where the Lapband is being " undone"for me that's one of the main reasons why I chose it.because it didn't permanent alter or remove any part of my body.there are many other reasons some u may find in the charts.if u have any other thoughts or question myself as well as many others are ready to share more of our story and answer any questions.GoodLuck !
