  1. I was banded June 11. I asked my surgeon to send me home same day. I came through everything good. Not ever surgeon does the surgery the same way. My surgeon took part of my stomach below my band and sewed it above my band to keep it from slipping. Another folds the bottom of the stomach in sews it together plus sew part of the bottom above the band. Check with the surgeon you choose.

  3. I am almost at 3 weeks and I still get belly aches after mealtime. If its nkt feeling right then wait til you feel better. Just hold in there.
  4. My little victory today was I walked the Zoo the memorials and the museums. 2 months ago I wouldnt have been able to do it.
  5. Thrift stores are amazing and great way to find smaller clothes. I also shop off season. I can usually find sweaters for about $5 and summer clothes in the winter for $2. I have friends who have lost alot so she is giving me clothes as I get smaller.

  7. I hate my stomach. It is constantly hurting. i tried eating some yogurt and i was not ready. i crawled to the bathroom. i want this to go away.
  8. Tomorrow is the big day. I am preparing for tomorrow. butterflies. I am the first in my family and so this is uncharted waters. I will be up getting ready at 3:30am to go to the hospital. Praying for a quick release those around me are falling apart. You know women take care of everybody and it gets hard to fight for the time to make your life better.

  10. It took 2 days for my approval. I didn't send them all the detailed information. just a list And the dates. I wrote them a nice one page letter explaining how it woulf change my life while saving them money.

  13. I am ready. june 11th is my day. it can't get here fast enough. I love the weight I am loosing. One week from surgery and 12 lbs down.
  14. I feel better knowing that I am not alone. I am ready to go. This has been 6 months in the making. I feel like 7 dayz from now I won't sleep. I can sleep while I under.
  15. I am a week pre-op and I love Zumba. My nickname is clumsy but I love it. I bought the Cds. I take my kids outside to play. I pop the Cds into my laptop and workout outside while watching them.
  16. my sugery is 10 days away and only a handful of people know. the ones I have told are not very supportive. I feel alone often but I will be at my meetings faithfully and take solace with other band patients.
  17. I have been trying to keep myself busy. those moments rught before bed are the worst. I keep asking myself what if you fail. what are some ways you guys are finding to keep calm.
  18. I am a private duty nurse with a fulltime patient that is counting on my strength but while I am on my liver shrinking diet I am loosing a lot of muscle mass which everyday is making it more difficult to take care of my patient. is there anything you would suggest.
