  1. It’s getting better but not completely gone. During sleep is when it bothers me the most. Hoping when I hit the 6 month mark it disappears.

  7. Hello! For those that have gotten the revision because of the GERD, did you feel relief immediately or did it take some time? My revision from sleeve to bypass was on 10/27, however I still feel GERD. I’ve heard some ppl say they felt immediate relief and others that it takes time. Can you all tell me what was your experience please. I am praying it goes away. The main reason I got the revision was for relief.

  10. I turned out to be allergic to omeprazole and had to be put on lanzoprazole instead. Hope that helps.
  11. That’s wonderful. I am hoping and praying I feel relief soon!

  14. Hello, I had my revision from sleeve to bypass on 10/27/21, only 3 weeks ago. I also had hiatal hernia repair, and gallbladder removal all at once. I am feeling good, no vomiting. Still on liquid stage, proceeding to soft solids soon. However, I am feeling GERD again! and worried the revision will not successfully resolve this frustrating issue. The nurse said to give it time. Did anyone have GERD weeks after their revision surgery? If so, did it resolve with time? Please I need some feedback! Thanks!

  19. Hi Wheetsin, thanks for the quick reply. How long have you been on the omeprazole? I have read about H2 blockers vs PPI's. I have not tried it, but that is my next intent. I hope it solves this problem. I hate the fact that I am allergic to lansoprozole, I wish I could stop taking it everything completely, but I can't live with acid reflux. I hope eventually it goes away forever!
  20. I had surgery in November 2010, and have been taking (1) generic lansoprazole daily since then. I had no complaints, felt great. Recently I found out that I have become allergic to it. I get this allergy through out my body. It is probably caused by the prolonged use of the PPI. I try not taking it but I cannot live with the acid reflux. After a couple of days of taking the acid reflux medicine I break out. I've tried taking tums, mylanta, etc. but they don't work well. I've also tried omeprazole, but again I get the allergy. I need to see my doctor obviously, but I was wondering if anyone had this issue...
