  1. I take Lisinpril and it's supposedly okay to crush it, but most other HBP medicines aren't supposed to be crushed. You may be getting too much at once!
  2. Hmmm, check this out.... http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/55205.php
  3. Started taking them whole in the hospital. Is it a giant pill?
  4. I was MISERABLE until I moved on to puréed foods. Week 2 was terrible for me, but it really does get easier once you can have actual food and not just fluids. Call and ask if you can have something puréed a few days early. It worked for me. Hang in there!!
  5. I'm very fortunate that my children are still young (easily influenced) and my naturally slim DH is onboard with moving on as a family with a healthier diet and lifestyle. For me, I imagine this addiction would be damn near impossible to manage without a concerted effort of both my family and me. And I've learned to call it what it is...a food addiction. It took me a long time to come to grips with that, but now I say it frequently. I can't beat my enemy if I don't know what it is.
  6. I don't see why not at 10 1/2 weeks, although it has lots of salt.
  7. This thread is fantastic. I'm 7 weeks out tomorrow, and was extremely fortunate to have an amazing surgeon, PA & Nut. They all spoke practically and at length about this surgery being nothing but a head start on a healthy, LIFELONG change. They were also brutally honest about the "honeymoon period" and the reality after it. It took me three years to get to the point where I was ready for everything this surgery meant for the rest of my life. The posts from the veterans are invaluable for those of us just starting out, and I think I speak for all of us when I say THANK YOU!!!
  8. He's just not that into you. Kick his ass to the curb and focus on YOU!!
  9. YES, get a stool softener and take it every day! If you don't, it's like pooping a golf ball covered in barbed wire.
  10. I LOVE it too! I have a double dose every morning on the way to work and start my day with 40g of protein! Makes it MUCH easier to get in my protein for the day.
  11. How's everybody doing? I've been hungrier than usual for the past few days and it was starting to freak me out. But my DH pointed out that I'm fighting a cold and likely need more food than I've been eating. Sounds legit to me, what say you, my fellow sleevers?
  12. No issues here! I take a stool softener but no, um, odor changes. lol
  13. Your "Blue Steel" look in that last pic is cracking me up. YOU GO AHEAD!!! What a transformation. Now get you some flat front pants and show off that flat belly man!!
  14. Don't listen to that cow!! You're doing GREAT! I went for my 6 week checkup this week and I've lost 22 1/2 in 6 weeks so 20 in 4 weeks is awesome. My doctor was thrilled!
  15. Great job!! Oh, and I'm jealous of your lips.
  16. For Nikki & Diva, from that wonderful sage...Winnie the Pooh: "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
  17. Another vote for Unjury chicken soup. One scoop is 21g of protein and I actually like the taste. I make some when I get home from work and drink it from a coffee mug.
  18. I felt like crap at 3 weeks out!! Exhausted. I was 6 weeks yesterday and I just now am feeling like I have my energy back. Be patient with yourself, and you HAVE to eat!
  19. Hold 2 10lb bags of sugar in the grocery store...that's how much weight you've lost IN TWO WEEKS!!! That's awesome!
  20. I speak from experience! I had to get rid of mine (had the husband hide it!) and I've been a MUCH happier person ever since!
  21. 4.5 to 5 pounds a week is great! Do NOT get hung up on the numbers this early on. Get rid of your scale ASAP...you'll drive yourself crazy!
