Am i the only one?
VSG is a tool.. It will help with hunger, and how much food we can eat at a sitting, but doesn't address the issues we have with overeating, and eating the wrong foods. I'm 6 months post op and still have to remind myself that just because I can eat something, doesn't mean i should! Carry those high Protein shakes and Snacks everywhere you go. The second you see goodies that you shouldn't have, run and eat a good snack or drink. Remind yourself, every day, every hour, if you have to, why your health is more important than junk food. Head hunger is a dangerous thing for us. Lets take it serious..."That includes me also."

What was your Christmas meal like?
Six months sleeved, and I wind up out of town, in the hospital having a Cholecystectomy " Gallbladder removed," My Christmas dinner was 1 bite of potatoes, 1 bite of roast beef and 2 bites of macaroni and cheese. That was it for the entire day. I still can't eat, Back to protein shakes for me.

Gallbladder Surgery...gone horribly wrong!
I guess it's pretty common. I went out of town to visit the family for Christmas, and on Christmas eve ended up in the hospital having my gallbladder removed. UUgghh! Not trying to hijack Lisa's thread, but anyone know how long before the nauseous goes away, and when I can work out again? I go to my local doctor on Friday.

401k to fund MX surgery?
Yes, I did a 401 hardship withdrawal. It covered the surgery, and I was allowed to get a small additional amount for the travel and stay in Cancun. Worked like a charm! Especially, when I read from others, how difficult their Insurance company was to work with. I also read that it may be tax deductible as well..

5 month post op
I'm five months out, and I haven't had any symptoms like you described. I'm with Lollylidy, can't hurt to have it checked out. Are you taking any antacids?

My husband is an ass
I agree, it sucks when your family and friends, are eating the things we cant. Some may be sensitive to OUR issues, some will not. Let's be honest, food is the reason we're all in this boat. We have to remember this is Our journey to succeed, or fail falls entirely on our shoulders...I like Amazon 13 suggestion, leave them in the food court, and go shopping, on him of course!.

Decided To Stay Off The Scale
I weigh and measure once a week. If I have a week where the scale hasn't moved much, then usually I can tell in my measurements, I want to be healthy and feel good, but don't want to become a slave to the numbers, so once a week works for me.

Is This Really Happening?!
Prayers going out to both of you! See you on the losers bench.

Need Help From 200 Ish Start Weight, Experienced Sleevers
I'm not a NUT, but looking at your numbers, my suggestion would be to lower your carb intake, and up your protein by 30 grams or so. I get a monthly B12 shot and take biotin, it seems to help with the hair loss, and gives me energy. I wouldn't give up drinking the protein shakes, maybe, use them for between meals. The lower BMI'S seem to lose a slower. Your doing well!
